I don't, honestly, give two shits about how old I am. Fuck it. I'm going to have a great year. Business is going great, I'm working on my health and I'm probably as happy as I've ever been. If I can tie up a few loose ends with things I want to accomplish this year, it has the potential to be the best year of my life. :)

I needed to see that. I was just flipping the channels and a commercial came on for Funeral Advantage. It's a BS insurance policy for "final expenses".
Anyway, the spokesperson said, "if you're between the ages of 40 & 85". :fp: They're trying to put me in the "you need to pre-arrange your funeral" crowd. :fdown:

Well, bad news.
My mom met with the oncologist today after he got all the test results back. She has a very rare cancer in her lungs. It's apparently genetic and she's had it her whole life, it just randomly switched on sometime a couple months ago. She's stage 3B and it's not curable.
If she did nothing, she'd have about a year. However, they are going to have her taking some kind of smart pill, that will attack the cancer. It's apparently very effective and she'll take it for as long as it works. Then there's a new drug coming out in 3 months that he hopes he could move her to when the first drug is no longer effective.
The oncologist said he hopes she will have 3 years or longer as long as she tolerates the first drug. He told her not to put up the white flag yet, but the news is not good at all.
