You should still feel bad :D

Three more entries are now on the site, and today they're all guest entries as I took a day off to recuperate before getting ready to do two entries tomorrow:
Who saw that coming with Baylor and Washington last night o_O
On this last day of 2011, we have FIVE entries on the site today for Bowl Blitz Invitational to cover all of the action:
- 2011 Meineke CarCare Bowl of Texas -- Texas A&M Aggies at Northwestern Wildcats by cdj
- 2011 Hyundai Sun Bowl -- Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at Utah Utes by gschwendt
- 2011 Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl -- Illinois Fighting Illini at UCLA Bruins by Paakaa10
- 2011 AutoZone Liberty Bowl -- Cincinnati Bearcats at Vanderbilt Commodores by Paakaa10
- 2011 Chick-fil-A Bowl -- Virginia Cavaliers at Auburn Tigers by psusnoop
Awesome job, Brian, organizing all this. And great job with everyone chipping in.
Thanks Jeff! I'm still overwhelmed by all of the people who have contributed their time and effort to this project. Definitely means a lot to me.
Some real close results in the Bowl Games so far today, as Chris' Texas A&M score was 1 point off from their actual score and Tommy's Georgia Tech score was also 1 point off from the actual score. Unfortunately, the scores for the opposing teams weren't quite so close, meaning the closest result for the Bowl Blitz Invitational so far remains my playthrough of the 2011 Little Caesars Pizza Bowl; 7 points total.
I would have been in great shape had Al Groh had enough sense to call a proper defense on 4th & long. Instead Utah scores on a fade route to send it into overtime. Before that I was +1 & -3 for the scores.
Well, psusnoop just got our first EXACT SCORE from the Chick-fil-A Bowl, as Virginia scored 24 points in both his playthrough in NCAA Football 12 as well as in real-life against Auburn. Unfortunately, Auburn's score was 30 points off :D.
The New Year brings with it a heaping helping of new entries in the Bowl Blitz Invitational at Stat Box Stories, as SIX entries are published live on the site today:
- 2012 TicketCity Bowl -- Houston Cougars at Penn State Nittany Lions by psuexv
- 2012 Capital One Bowl -- Nebraska Cornhuskers at South Carolina Gamecocks by cdj
- 2012 Outback Bowl -- Michigan State Spartans at Georgia Bulldogs by SGdirtyburt
- 2012 Gator Bowl -- Ohio State Buckeyes at Florida Gators by psuexv
- 2012 Rose Bowl -- Wisconsin Badgers at Oregon Ducks by Paakaa10
- 2012 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl -- Stanford Cardinal at Oklahoma State Cowboys by Paakaa10
Today's early Bowl Game action brings a new "clubhouse leader" in the race for whose playthrough in NCAA Football 12 will most closely match the real-life score. psuexv's time with the 2012 Gator Bowl resulted in 19 points for Ohio State and 24 points for Florida; the real-life score had Ohio State finish with 17 and Florida with 24, meaning that the Florida score was perfect and the Ohio State score was only TWO POINTS OFF!
It'll definitely be tough for anybody else to top that unless they manage to get the exact final score of one of the remaining games.
After a busy weekend of entries, today we go back to only a single entry as there is--sadly--only one college Bowl Game on the schedule. At least it's a BCS Bowl Game.
2012 Allstate Sugar Bowl -- Michigan Wolverines @ Virginia Tech Hokies by Paakaa10
Another day, another BCS Bowl Game entry; today is the last BCS Bowl Game before the national championship game:
2012 Discover Orange Bowl -- West Virginia Mountaineers @ Clemson Tigers by Paakaa10
Playing around with You Tube's video editing. Threw together a highlight reel of all of the Bowl games that I played

I will say the video editor is pretty cool. Reminds me of iMovie.
Yeah, it wasn't an entirely "sim" effort on my behalf haha. A good chunk of the rushing yardage for the starting halfback and for the team in general came on that one ridiculous 96-yard touchdown run anyway. The carries always get a bit inflated too because I don't kneel on the ball even if I have it at the end of the game; I just call HB Dives and Power O runs to keep entertained until the clock runs out if I have the final possession and the lead.
In the BBVA Compass Bowl (January 7th) SMU tops Pitt 38-35 in a wild one.
Yeah, I think your score for the WVU vs Clemson game was a little off. :))
After the site's first day off in a while, today we bring tidings of more Bowl Games for the Bowl Blitz Invitational with a guest entry from a new contributor:
2012 AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic -- Kansas State Wildcats at Arkansas Razorbacks by steelerfan
The Bowl Blitz Invitational inches ever closer to its conclusion, with one entry today covering an early-afternoon Bowl Game competing with NFL Wild Card Playoff games:
2012 BBVA Compass Bowl -- SMU Mustangs at Pittsburgh Panthers by JBHuskers
The final Bowl Game before the BIG Bowl Game comes to us courtesy of our resident Arkansas State fan:
2012 GoDaddy.com Bowl -- Arkansas State Red Wolves at Northern Illinois Huskies by gschwendt
Some bonus entries today; psuexv put together an Online Dynasty to see if he could replicate the match-up between #2 :Alabama: and #1 :LSU: in the BCS National Championship Game. Against odds, the match-up was set, and here are his write-ups chronicling each team's season:
Alabama's Road to the BCS National Championship
LSU's Road to the BCS National Championship
Nice work E!
If anyone wants to look at the season stats they are here. Indiv. and Team

And finally, the inaugural Bowl Blitz Invitational draws to a close with my playthrough of the 2012 Allstate BCS National Championship Game.
2012 BCS National Championship Game -- Alabama Crimson Tide at LSU Tigers
Thank you so much to everyone who contributed a story to this project! I thought it would be difficult to cover all 35 Bowl Games on relatively short notice, but you all made it happen.
Nice work, Brian. And Eric, you too.
