Community Sliders - Balanced (Heisman)

Made some big changes to the cpu running game as it needed an overhaul. I think I might just try these in my dynasty and tweak a bit from there. I do expect some minor adjustments but I don't think anything will need massive changes anymore.

Well I must say that the cpu running game sliders need to be changed entirely. They have to be much closer to default or the cpu OL just man handles your DL and knocks them to the ground. I had to make a massive change to this area (updated above). Still not sure about the pass rush - mine might be too good and the cpu might need a boost. Either way I think I'm close to finding a good set on Heisman again. I might not bother with AA after all. I'm just going to plug these into my dynasty now and run with them. I'm sure some things might need tweaking but for now it's good enough.

Rudy - I just played my first dynasty game with your new slider set:

Duke (C+) 54 @ Virginia Tech (B) 50

There were 0 punts for either team the entire game. Pass defense was just AWFUL for both sides. I threw for like 400 yards and the CPU threw for 350. I ran for 100+ yards and the CPU ran for 150+.

Hoping that was an aberration but time will tell I suppose. I feel like its Wide Open Gameplay 2.0 after this latest tune b/c now both Man and Zone coverage BLOW.

I may have to boost pass coverage and rush defense too. I need more time with the game post patch to really find out. I had only raised pass coverage 10 points but some guys on OS feel you need to boost it 20 points for both sides to bring it back to pre-patch #3. I did make user rushing easier as I thought that was made harder with this patch. Certainly the cpu run game got a boost. I'm still getting a handle on that as well. Let me know what you end up doing as I may follow suit.

Rudy, I can't speak for Heisman, but on AA you definitely need to adjust HUM Pass Coverage sliders upwards. I personally haven't seen a need to adjust CPU Pass Coverage, because I played a WVU team that had ridiculously good coverage. But it wouldn't surprise me if that would need to go up too.

I haven't tried these out but the "feel" I have after playing several games with your sliders Rudy is this:

WR CATCH 45 45 (seen a few too many cpu drops)
RB ABLTY 50 60 (like the run settings)
RUN BLK 50 60

DEFENSE HUM CPU
PASS COVERAGE 65 50 (pass coverage has been awful post tune 3)
PASS RUSH 65 10 (bumped up hum pass rush if you seldom blitz and get virtually 0 pressure on the qb)
INTERCEPTIONS 40 25 (turned down hum Ints a touch)
RUSH DEFENSE 50 35 (bump up CPU rush D some)
TACKLING 60 45 (good settings fewer hum missed tackles but still not automatic)

SPECIAL TEAMS HUM CPU
FG LENGTH 50 50 (i have the crappy kicker problem in dynasty)
FG ACCURACY 5 50 (even at 5 i never miss fgs unless i dont have the leg)
PUNT LENGTH 50 60 (i have the crappy kicker problem in dynasty)
PUNT ACCURACY 35 100
KO LENGTH 35 35 (crappy hum kicker problem)

I'm going to play some more. I've been hitting kicks pretty good but my kicker is in the 90s with leg strength and accuracy in the 90s. Hard to tell how bad I should be. I did beat MSU 26-9 this morning. Unfortunately my next three Big 10 games are Minnesota, Illinois and Northwestern - all teams much worse than me. I'm 7-1 now and I won't face another hard game until OSU at the end and then my bowl game.

Rudy did you end up with a "final" set? I really haven't played much since the 3rd Patch/Tune mostly due to a total lack of pass defense from both the HUM and CPU.

No. I've been playing a lot of Play Now games just testing out running the spread against Oregon. I've had some other stuff going on too so I haven't been playing my dynasty right now but I hope to get back to it soon.

So Rudy have you completely given up on AA then? I have only played NCAA once in the last three weeks so I haven't been following any of the updates. However, when I played tonight it seemed pretty much the same as after patch 2.

I haven't bothered to go back to AA. The sliders work pretty good on Heisman and I don't feel like going back and re-testing on AA. I found the cpu QB a little dumb on AA anyways although they blitz less (good) and the cpu kicker has really been trying to nail impossibly long FGs on Heisman lately. It's been bad on Heisman but it seems to be much worse than before this last tuner file. Could be random but it's dumb and I'd like it to be fixed.

CLW, the last slider set is pretty much staying the same for now. I actually dropped human pass rush a touch and tweaked the kickoff slider to try to get returns out a little farther. I'm able to play defense and I haven't been seeing a ton of offensive games but I'm not a great offensive player. I will keep playing though and checking stuff out.

I'm still playing on All-American and it's ok.

It's getting more and more like the only way for me to even have a bad quarter against the CPU is if it goes Robo QB or if it just flat out cheats it's ass off and makes my players do stupid shit that they normally wouldn't do/CPU's defenders become superhuman.

I have a small sample size but right now I'm pissed. Your sliders Patch/Tune #2 was giving me 20-30 ppg for both teams and were tons of fun. Since the Patch/Tune 3 its been arena bowl for both sides. I'll keep trucking along with yours with my few adjustments and hopefully its just random bad luck here of late.
