Ohio State's got a decent amount of 90+, at least prospective. Only one (90) that's returning, but a handful that are practically guaranteed to hit 90 during training.
You and I had, overall, similar Year 2 recruiting classes. Interesting how yours has panned out versus mine. (Though upon further review, I was ranked lower than I remembered. Maybe you had a much better offseason recruiting in Year 2 than I did) I think having to recruit a boatload of WRs in Year 2 hurt my overall team.
I'll have to take a look at my depth chart to be more accurate....but like Oneback....that year 2 class will have a ton of sophomore redshirts and true juniors starting. My default freshman class was loaded at WR and LB....I see Mike Davis and Jordan Hicks trying to leave for the NFL with the seasons they're having....

ROLB - William Logan, 92 OVR: #1 OLB recruit in season two (Offseason). He has been a starter at MLB and ROLB since the day he got on campus, he'll be a true Junior next season.
OC - Bill Sykes, 92 OVR: #1 OC recruit in season one, backed up for one year and has been the starter the last two. He'll be a true Senior next year.
P - Will Hagerup, 92 OVR: Leftover from the original rosters. If he returns for his RS Senior season he will both kick and punt.
DT - Jesse Williams, 90 OVR: #4 DT recruit in season two (offseason). He has been a starter at DT since the day he got here. Started off his freshman season with 10+ sacks, ending the season in the top 5 in that category, has his a Sophomore slump this year with only four but has contributed in other ways.
FB - Justin Heard, 89 OVR: Transfer from Notre Dame last year, he'll be a starter next year as a RS Junior.
CB - Cullen Christian, 89 OVR: Leftover from the orginal rosters and has been a solid contributor, he'll be a RS Senior next year.

RE - Chris Haynes, 88 OVR: was a backup last year as a Freshman but has exploded onto the scene this year with 8 sacks.
RG - Tyler Keyes, 87 OVR: picked up in last years recruiting class as a JUCO and has performed well as a backup, he will be a starter in his Senior year next season.
OC - Fred Manning, 87 OVR: #1 OC recruit in season 3, he will compete for the OC job with Bill Sykes next season. He has performed well when he has been on the field as a RS Freshman.

I'm giving serious consideration to starting my Wildcat QB, Nicholas Johnson, next season at true QB. Just based on the ratings, he has no chance, but on the practice field, he seems to make better throws than my other two options.
He'll likely be starting the bowl game to see how he performs in a real game situation.
After further review... Johnson is the better under center passer whereas Hunter is the better shotgun passer. I'll be curious how they each develop for next season, though I expect Johnson to go largely unchanged since he was a [1star] athlete.Quote:

Id like to avoid new york city at all costs, and the middle of the country ;). The Northwest/texas/parts of NE/ and southeast (except jacksonville, fl GROSS) are all on the table. I guess my main worry is the same as any younger person coming out of college jumping into the real world as far as the job market, and not being protected by my military contract that enslaved me to my job :p
The university events are usually pretty decent but they typically get a lot of traffic so you need to really standout. At PSU we actually had some smaller major specific specialized ones and I know a lady used to get inquires to the Supply Chain Department from companies that they used to send to all of us in the major. Those typically are your best leads.
The other thing would be eye up a couple companies that you seem interested in at the sponsored events and then check out job listings yourself for them. Careerbuilder, Monster, etc are hit and miss.
ah cool, yea this advanced sales class seems like a dream come true. (i guess the sales team won the national title whatever that means) and has been great the last few years so the teacher gets calls all the time asking for the names/#s of kids taking their advanced sales class (does not even have to be on the team)...also as part of class we are required to attend the smaller meet and greets that they set up for the sales kids (which i am not but i sneak in via the class)

That's cool. Yeah those people calling on the department and those meet and greets are your best bet. I think I had 3 job offers from people that called into the department but had to turn them down as I wanted to stay in State College.
I'm in sales now and it's actually getting tough, everyone wants experience, but it sounds like FSU has some strong ties so that's a definite positive. You willing to move to Central Pa, I need an assistant? :)
I've heard a lot of good things about LinkedIn. A number of people here are actually on it and try to connect with customers. I haven't signed up yet but I get requests all the time from my customers to sign up and friend them(or whatever it they do), I think it must pull people in their contacts and send out invites, but from the volume I get a lot of people are on it.
I haven't heard anything about LinkedIn in terms of being good for job hunters. It's good for networking and keeping up with people, but not finding jobs with faceless companies, I wouldn't think.
FSU, have you looked at the defense contractors? I would think with your variety of experience that they'd be right up your alley. Plus with the Finance degree you could probably find a job in one of the program offices.

Mostly cheese yes. I run Toledo in SBCOL and their offense and it's all Shotgun with only 2 other formations and I throw the ball all game. Found out in testing that you can't switch Coach Philosophies during the End of Bowls Week, and if you swap teams during Players Leaving then you can't sway players to return. So I'll be waiting until Recruiting Week 1 to swap to A&M. I already retired and set the correct philosophies during Bowl Week.

The Strength of the team may be at DT or LB depending on how things play out, both units will be asked to do a lot for clemson. The secondary is losing 3 of its top 4 CBs with the lone returner being a rs(sr)73 OVR.
Florida State:
The QB position looks very good for FSU with Clint Trickett returning for one more season and back up Scott Battle earning valuable playing time. RB has two talented players but is razor thin and 1 injury here could spell disaster for FSU. The strength of the offense looks to be the OL or WR spot which are loaded with talent. On defense every position looks to be better than last season except for CB, FSU loses 3 of its top 4 CBs and will rely on two recruits to patch this hole. This could be disastrous depending on injuries.
Miami:
An interesting QB battle could be in the works as Tyler Bray comes off of his mandatory transfer year off and throws his hat into the ring against Antonio Downing. The RB position again looks solid with Storm Johnson returning for his senior season backed up by 'Nasty' Nate Lewis. The TE position looks to be the weakest link heading into the off season for the Canes but you never know what great TE could pop up in recruiting from south florida. The biggest loss to the defense will be the departure of Jamal Reid from the FS position, Latwan Anderson will take his place and is already rated in the 90s, but does not have 99 AWR or the physical tools of Reid, also Anderson has been moon lighting at CB, Nickelback, and SS during his career so his loss at those positions could hurt the Canes. The SS position looks average at best, but a great LB corps which the canes posses can cover up many short comings of other positions. Coach RyBy has stated DE is the worst position on his team and they signed 5 ESPN150 DEs this off season in hopes of suring up the Line
Oklahoma:
Losing the starting QB could really hurt OU, rising senior Blake Bell returns but he does not have near the arm strength of Drew Allen, and an injury to Bell could doom the Sooners who would probably rely on a true freshman if that were to happen. The strength of the offense is at RB where Brennan Clay and Roy Finch return, the WR corps is not bad either. The OL loses 3 starters but should have the depth to field an above average unit. On defense CB will be the weakest link for the Sooners, it is a collection of recruiting miss after recruiting miss behind rising senior AA Quentin Hayes who will man one corner spot. The incredibly deep DT position will help keep opposing teams running games at bay, and the safety spots are talented enough to cover for bad CB play so it will come down to a talented but thin LB corps to take the Sooners to the promised land.
Oregon:
Oregon may lose the biggest collection of talent on offense of any team in the OD. 2 senior QBs depart leaving only rising senior Ryan Morrison or rising sophomore Eric Cummings to battle for the top spot, both severely lack the running or throwing ability of their elders. RB is easily the team strength with senior to be Lache Seastrunk and Pat Davis leading of the most talented groups in the country. Now things get really bad....WR The Ducks lose their top 5 WRs to graduation, leaving true freshman Michael Bowling (72 overall, 92 spd) as the elder statesman of a talented but ball skill lacking group of receivers. Senior TE Mike Robinson may be asked to a lot for the ducks in the passing game next season. The biggest losses on defense are probably Taylor Hart at DE and Keanon Lowe at CB. The DT position returns 1 true BCS conference player and the MLB position is in need of an instant infusion of talent from this years recruiting class, but the Safety positions are manned by very capable players who can help stuff the run since the Ducks do return 2 very solid CBs.

Penn State
The obvious strength of the offense for the Lions is at QB, they have 4 players that could start at almost any school in the country and I am shocked one has not transferred yet. Curtis Dukes finally graduates to the cheers of big 10 teams everywhere but Silas Redd and Jeremy Mackey look to shut them up in a hurry. The WR corps loses 3 of its top 4 players including physical freak Justin Brown (a 6'3 speed deamon) but returns some quality players at the position. The biggest weakness for PSU will be the OL, they lose two starting 90 overall+ OGs and will need to fix this in a hurry to keep the ground game going, and to keep pressure off of their signal callers. The biggest losses on Defense in my eyes are the two senior DTs Jordan Hill and Eddie Sullivan, their replacements are both in the low 80s and will be in the mid to high 80s before next year but the STR drop off if not going to be fixed any time soon. This is the most important position in the run heavy Big10 conference. The biggest weakness though for the Lions will come at CB, much like FSU, Clemson, and OU, the Lions lose their top 3 corners who all have NFL aspirations and return only 1 quality starter. The strength of the D is a tie between LB and S im not sure whose job will be tougher, the LBs to make up for the weaker DT play, or the safeties having to cover for young CBs mistakes.
Texas:
easy mode
Though hopefully Jeff and maybe a renewed OU interest in the state of texas can fix this ;), right now he's snatching yo people up.
Texas A&M
Gonna go light on them as it is Jeffs first year, QB will make or break the team as the OL and RB position are stellar. The RB position looks at first glance to be tied with Texas or maybe a hair behind as most talented in the nation. The LB corps is the weak link of the Defense and one injury to the CB position could spell trouble for the Aggies.
Future star: FS Andy Merrit 6'5 219 lbs 97 speed 94 ACC.
USC
The Strength of the offense for the Trojans is RB where DJ Morgan, Jamal Strickland, and Dillion Baxter return to run wild on the Pac 10. There is not much to hate on the Trojans this year, the big loss on offense is Kyle Prater but they have some playmakers in the Wings, If QB Scroggins goes down with an injury it could be ugly for them in conference play. On defense the Loss of Devon Kennard will need to be addressed asap since the Trojans lose their top 2 DTs leaving thin depth a long the lines. Depth behind the MLB starter is a big concern but the glaring whole on the this Trojan team is at FS where they graduate two players and will rely on true freshman to play right away. Could be the 2nd most talented user team behind Texas.
Virginia Tech
Looking over Va Techs roster you get a sense of how incredibly young they are. They lose a few WRs and a defensive player or two, but overall this team looks to make great strides towards challenging for the Coastal division next year. On offense it will be up to QB Jamaal Booth to straighten out his erratic play and manage the offense which has many weapons in the backfield and a few WRs who can make plays in one on one situations. The hokies need to get better at DE and FS quickly, the off season conditioning program for these 2 positions needs to be violent and in the now.
Wisconsin
On offense we can not start a discussion without talking about how big of a loss Montee Ball is, the do it all back will be missed by Badger faithful. He will be replaced by Deon Brown who looks to have built himself into a strong division 1 RB. The next biggest lost might be Jeff Duckworth (94 overall) who leaves behind an average WR corps which may get an infusion of talent from recruiting. The offensive Line is younger and not as highly rated as you would expect from a Badger team but something tells me coach gschwendt knows what he is looking for in his OL and they will once again pave the way for a strong running game. On defense the Badgers lose 3 of their top 4 defensive linemen from a 4-3 alignment and this could be where teams attack them as the secondary looks to be a team strength. The LB corps looks to be above average with a chance at good but one injury could lead to disaster. I think we all look forward to how Brett Chavis develops with his 6'3 frame and 99 speed.

One thing I will add to Miami is the fact that we will have our best WR returning in James Morales. He was injured for pretty much the whole season as he only had 9 catches this season. Otherwise, good work Prime.

Michigan is bringing in the #1 rated HB in the country and will be looking to add another in the offseason. At WR two JUCO's step in to buoy the position, defensive tackle was addressed and there will be a 6'3'' 316 pound true freshman plugging the middle next season.
Corner is a huge problem for me right now, this season I only had three guys worthy of seeing the field which hurt me against 4 WR sets. Next year there will only be 2 worthy unless I can find some guys in the offseason.
Prime, out of absolute curiosity, I wonder what you think of the state I left Ohio State in.
It's not the QB that will make or break ... it's "Players Leaving". If any of those OL leave, I might be absolutely sunk. It's my primary worry about Players Leaving at this point. I could survive a few other transfers, but not OL.Quote:

Ohio State:
Glaring issues at QB stand out on offense. Steve Bellisari and Austin Moherman will both be sophomores battling hopefully some sort of decent recruit at the position. Joe Germaine's departure and the graduation of journeyman Mark Garcia leave a glaring lack of experience at the most important position on the field. RB is in better shape but lacks the star power you normally expect from a Buckeye team, look for Derek Combes to take most of the snaps if the new coach has any brains, but i would not be surprised if FB Jamar Martin throws his hat in the ring. Luckily for whoever earns the starting nod at QB, the cupboard is not bare at all at WR. Stud Dee Miller departs but the buckeyes return everyone else at the position including freak specimen 6'7 Mark James. With so many seniors departing from the OL you may think they are in for real pain, but the returning players should all be in the mid to low 80s and the C should be a 95 overall to settle down the new comers. On Defense the DL loses 2 starters who were very highly rated, but should have plenty of talent to get the job done. LB is razor thin and the big Kat is going to have to really get his body ready for his junior season. The buckeyes can not afford an injury to their star MLB with zero experience behind him. The Bucks lose 3 of their top 5 CBs but return 2 of their top 3 and this should lead to passing games in the big 10 being on lock down. To go along with the CBs, the S position in great hands making the secondary the strength of the defense, they should give their DL plenty of time to get pressure on the QB.
Texas:
Texas obviously cut almost every player from the 2 classes that would make up seniors and redshirt seniors lol, not many departures here. At QB their is as much wasted talent as the PSU depth chart with several #1 QBs sitting the bench, if only they knew a starting job was just a plane ride away in Columbus, OH. RB is the strength of the offense with Earl Campbell Jr (injury prone) and Bryson Hopkins both returning for their junior campaigns. Right behind RB is the WR corps which also returns everyone, their is no physical specimen among the top 5 but they all are capable of making plays with the QBs that will throw to them. It will be interesting if coach papa puts a lower rated player 6'5 Roger Moss in ahead of the upper classman in front of him. On defense, the longhorns have a stable of DTs that would make coach jeffHcross drool. Im just not sure how you could possible get all 6 of them on the field at once, some more time spent recruiting a playmaking DE would probably be better. The LB corps and CB unit are as strong as any in the country and will have the longhorns picked by many to win the title next season.
