Having read the article in the Oct. 6 Crescent-News on the Wapakoneta and Defiance football game, I am a little disturbed with some of the responses that Mr. Buti made.
His statements ("it looked like we wanted no part of the game," "our guys up front got knocked off the ball," and finally "we should be embarrassed by that performance on defense") was not something that I would expect from a coach. A coach should encourage, motivate and strive for extra effort from his players, not belittle their efforts with negative public remarks.
We saw the game, the Wapakoneta team is in fact just a very motivated and aggressive team which won fairly. I feel our team did as much as possible against them. Go Defiance.
Oh, of course, I forgot, we're supposed to sugarcoat the fucking hell out of everything we say to avoid offending or hurting the feelings of poor little Billy, Timmy and Johnny. Heaven for-fucking-bid that they have to hear a truth and fact about how they played in a football game. They were losing 35-0 before they finally put points on the board, and even then still ended up losing 52-7. They ended with NEGATIVE ONE yards in rushing offense. They ended up outgained 414-260 in total yards. They fumbled four times (lost three) and threw two interceptions. In fact, the only thing wrong with the coach's quotes was that he didn't also say that the offense sucked ass just as much as the defense did.
I am getting so fucking sick of the fucking dumbasses in this country and this fucking stupidity PC bullshit. :fp:
