All told, today wasn't too bad. Oblivion for $9.99, Fallout 3 GOTY for $9.99, if you hadn't gotten it yet, Dead Island for $14.99 for both systems. If Sleeping Dogs had been $24.99 or $29.99, that would have probably been a good deal, but for $34.99, eh, I'll wait. It will inevitably be cheaper in the next 2-4 weeks with the holiday knockdowns in price. Same with Skyrim. It's a great game, but only $34.99 after a full year, if by now you still haven't bought it yet, wait for the price to go lower.

I'm not allowed to buy games after Halloween. I'm suppose to put all the games that I want on my wishlist for my wife. I've upset her a few times by buying games I wanted due to a sweet deal and having her blow a gasket because she bought the game for me for Christmas.

Well now they're back to $17.99 and not free shipping. Either they made a mistake and I got lucky, or only had so many for $14.99 free ship before they bumped the price back up.

I liked Uncharted 1 but damn was it an annoying ass game. The game was littered with bullet-sponge enemies and there were waaaaay too many shootout parts for my liking. I remember opening a tomb that wasn't opened for, like, 400 years and inside were soldiers with turrets. I was like, "Really?"

I'm going to post this in several different places so that anyone that could possibly want one will have a chance at it.

Arenanet (creator of Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2) is offering a Refer A Friend free trial for three people. The trial starts November 15th and lasts until midnight on the 18th. They'll be available to me to send out to people on the 12th (giving you plenty of time to download the client and everything).

I know most people here aren't too into MMOs, but this one is fuckin' fantastic (been pretty much all I've been playing for 2 months now) and, if you join, I'll create a new character and run around with ya and show ya the ropes. :)

If you want one, just let me know and I'll get you it when it becomes available to me on the 12th. There are only 3, so first come first serve (doubt I'll have to worry about that though).

It's random for me. Sometimes I do get Gold Box Day emails, other times I don't. This I did, saw an email from Amazon about it when I got home from work this morning.

Gotta love customer support sometimes. I e-mailed Amazon to inquire what you might be signed up for that I'm not. The first guy basically said "occasionally we send special promotions to infrequent customers". Not what I was asking at all.

The second has said they've signed me up for their promotions newsletters again. I'll see if anything changes.

Huh, that's odd. I know I don't always get Gold Box day emails, at least I didn't usually in the past. The last 4 or 5 times they've done them, I've gotten an email for them. Could possibly be due to how many games I've bought in recent months, between NHL 13, AC3, Halo 4, and others.
