Sir, and I say this respectfully, THIS is what's killing the country. All the draw-a-line-in-the-sand, la-la-la-I-can't-hear-you-because-you're-not-red/blue-like-us is so.....unhealthy. no, what rove is saying is that its stupid to call a state for someone when the vote total is less than 1000 votes. if something is that close with 75% of the votes being reported in, they shouldnt call the state until every vote has been cast, regardless if their initial thought was right or not.

No matter the side this is exactly the issue within our country. Everyone fails to realize we are on the same team :smh:

And I mean this while staying neutral to either side.

This is the weirdest election ever. Normally when you look at the election map, it's full of red and blue states, but somehow Colorado's turned green.

I don't disagree with your conclusion that we are going to fall (i.e. we are in decline). However two points:

#1 The Liberals/Democrats are equally responsible for what you are complaining about me/conservatives doing. Conservatives just won an equal branch of government (The House)

We are talking about principles (i.e. Conservatives do NOT play Class Warfare and dabble with socialism/government dependency)

Quite simply the country is divided (i.e. there are Red States and there are Blue States) and as we continue to self-select where we live (as we should do) this nation will continue its decline into irrelevancy.

I have the ability as a private citizen to support the candidates that support my values. If a member of my party violates my principles I have the power to remove them by supporting a challenger.

If a Republican in the House/Senate from a Red State thinks they have ANY room to compromise on tax/spending issues with Obama's current position, they are mistaken and will be removed the next time they are up for election.

Love listening to fox right now saying yep Obama may have won but it doesn't matter, republicans have the house maybe even stronger now so it doesn't matter nothing will happen because they won't cave on issues :fp:

Because he has no mandate in this second term....... For fucks sake this is better then watching any show or movie.

People reporting that our country is going to shit because their guy isn't in office...news flash it wasn't going anywhere when your guy was there either.....and god forbid we try to strengthen our country, instead they'd rather sit in the middle of the living room and pout and kick and scream because their snack pack was 1 less their their brothers and since it was they aren't moving and they aren't going to stop crying.......wait this sounds like snack time at my house with my 6 and 4 year old:smh:

This is the problem, why does it have to be one side or another when working on core problems within "our" country?? This is my biggest issue.

Sure I may have voted Romney or maybe I voted Obama but that isn't important because I know that our government would rather act like children who feel entitled to everything and could care less about anything that doesn't have to do with them.

That my friend is what pisses me off about our country.

snoop, there are some things that each side simply will not compromise on. each side feels so strongly about certain items, that they'll oppose anything that isnt exactly what they want regarding that item. hell, we have that same exact issue when we do our community wishlist tournament. look at how important dreads and sock lengths are to some people vs the gameplay crowds.

B/c the "Core problems" in our country go to founding principles of Liberal/Conservative ideology. Conservatives believe in limited government and self reliance. Liberals believe people cannot do it on their own and must have government save them from themselves.

We are simply in a hyper partisan era as America goes into decline due to decisions that were made beginning 70+ years ago. It has happened in EVERY world power that went into decline. (Rome, Greece, England, etc...)

LMAO I ALWAYS crack up when you see the red/blue by county map. The Blues would have a hard time gaining all that land if a Civil War ever breaks out. :nod:

I'm a conservative and I understand what your saying but it still takes a little of both to make things work. Without some of both in place nothing works right which IMO is why this country is the best to live in, however I have seen so many instances over the last decade or more where neither side can stand to work with the other which divides things that much more.

Can it be fixed now?? That is debatable and I lean towards no. I mean we the public are served through media that you have to be one side or the other no matter the subject if its good but didnt come from your side then it's a no go and that shit has to stop.

Actually it doesn't. When Obama took over he had a majority in the house and a FILLIBUSTER PROOF Senate and the Presidency. Republicans/Conservatives could have gone to the beach on vacation and it wouldn't have changed anything.

Obama got EVERYTHING he wanted in the 1st 2 years. Stimulus 1, Stimulus 2, Auto Bailout, Obamacare and the economy still blows. He played with fire and got burned in 10 and so the People decided they want a divided government.

The people voted for it AGAIN tonight. They will/should get the SAME results from 12-14 as they got from 10-12.

Well now even OH wouldn't even matter with IA and CO gone.
