Anyone know how to fix the massive delay in notifications/messages being received? I was trying to show a buddy of mine through the new raid on Destiny last night and there was like a 15 minute delay between when the message was sent and I actually received it. Then, I log on this morning, and I receive a message from Doughty that was sent near midnight LAST NIGHT. That's like an 8 hour delay. :D
Is this something I can fix or is this just PSN's issue?

It keeps telling me I have new messages, when in fact I've read the message and tried deleting it...yet it keeps telling me it is new.
If I send a message and it actually sends..then it will say sent 5-10 minutes ago. Same when I receive a message. It says the message was sent 5 minutes ago even though I just received it.
Pretty sure that is a Sony issue and who knows if/when it will be fixed. It's been this way for a couple months, I think. :dunno:
It's pretty bad and has been since I have had a PS4. The only thing worse is the download pause game. Sony apparently uses Destiny's RNG to determine how well your file will download, especially if you have the audacity to use wi-fi. Sometimes it is 56K, other times it uses almost half of my broadband connection and in a rare case 75% of my 30mbps connection.

Nah, it is working fine here and for many of TGT users based on my friends list.
Working fine for me. It always seems to go down the once a month I boot it up, though. You're welcome. :D
I assume it is probably having some issues due to all of the new PS4 users hopping online for the first time. Tomorrow through the weekend should be very trying on the servers.
EDIT - PSN down for me. :(

Completely shut down PS4 and restarted and could connect to PSN. However, unable to connect to EA servers (at least on LIVE 15). I'm seeing others on Twitter saying they can also get back on PSN now, just hit & miss with individual game servers/services.

I'm still able to log on just fine, but I feel as though this delay in notifications is getting worse. I was trying to get a group together for some Destiny last night and sent out messages to 6 different people - I got replies back from 2. I check this morning and just about everyone messaged me back, they just weren't delivered. It's seriously getting annoying, makes getting together a group for anything borderline impossible. I just don't ever remember it being this bad.

My parents got my son Destiny for Christmas but it says we have to delete the trial version before installing. I'm worried about losing the saves since they appear to only be online through Destiny servers. I will be ticked if our save files get erased. Why can't we just install on top of it? Not sure if I can even back up the save files with psn being down.
You should be fine. Uninstalling removes the files the game needs but not your saves.Quote:

PSN back up on PS4? Sony status saying PS3/Vita working, but PS4 offline. Some people are currently on, but I wonder if they were connected earlier when the network was somewhat stable whereas people trying to connect now are having issues.
