Couldn't agree more. I had a feeling from the opening and Rick talking to him on the walkie that they were bringing him back. But thought it was very unsatisfactory.

I also thought it was completely far fetched for them to go to Rick's hometown. If they really were that close why haven't they gone back before, like all winter when they were running around. I know he goes back in the comics but this just didn't flow right.

Obviously there are circumstances that he could be without a weapon but even if I were run out of a camp or whatever, I'd still find a stick or rock or something to carry around with me.

That and it would have been an interesting twist if we somehow discovered after the fact that he was actually a guy that escaped from Woodbury and he could have given them insider knowledge (like Tyrese for the Governor).

I'm actually glad he wasn't from Woodbury. It's getting a little much with how tied together things are. Kind of like above with them going back to Rick's hometown. I mean they ran around for 9 months in the winter and stayed in one general area but never ran into the governor or Woodbury but now all of the sudden they are close enough to each other to go to war and Tyrese and his group stumble upon Woodbury?

To be fair he could have a gun or knife on him that we did not see, as he was only seen from a distance. He probably had something (small weapon/ammo/food) in his backpack, hence Michonne driving back to get it. You tend not to carry around unnecessary extra weight when zombies are after you. I would add that any character that has been alive that long would be smart enough not to YELL for long periods of time, no matter how badly you wanted that ride.

It was nice to see Michonne break out of her shell this episode, Rick letting her drive was a nice touch at the end.

Yeah I really didn't quite understand the point of the hitchhiker. Was it supposed to show Rick that if he doesn't help people they are going to die? I'm assuming the hitchhiker is dead since they found his pack

Because I don't think they are anywhere close to Woodbury. I think Rick and the gang had to drive a long way to get to his old town, which to me didn't really make sense because they made it seem like it was close. If Rick's hometown was that close they would have went back before or as a cop he would have known about the prison and such.

Figured it had to do with the fact that Rick and crew early on would go above and beyond to help others the best they could. Now it is purely a group about survival and not trusting others. No holds barred. Clearly, trust issues.

Well, after everything with the Governor and Woodbury, I can't blame them. How do you know if once you pull over and let him in, he doesn't try to shoot you, take your supplies and take the car. No way would I trust anyone after everything those guys had been through, especially after the attack on the prison.

Right on, Smooth.

Very very tense episode.

The conversation between Rick and the Governor was pretty interesting. So was the interaction with Governor's #2 and Daryl, and Herschel and Milton.

Maggie is on this week's Talking Dead. She has a British accent too :drool: HAWT.

And of course Andrea being Andrea. Though I can just see her being the character that does just enough before the confrontation to save Team Rick. Now how important was the last episode? Take away the interaction with Michonne, Rick and Carl and the decision is simple. Even though Rick sees what the Governor really wants, he could have used Michonne as a trap without her knowledge.

P.S. Maggie still has more balls than Glenn.

Another strong episode IMO. Kept you anxious the entire episode, especially with the Glock under the table. The Daryl and Woodbury #2/Lt. interaction was really done.....it harkens back to the basic fighting man spirit......where warriors respected each other even if they were going to battle....the stories of troops during WWI or WWII for example putting down their weapons to celebrate Christmas together or things like this: German fighter escorts bomber crew
That was interesting because it touched upon the warrior code, whereas the Milton and Herschell interaction touched upon the intellectual side of bonding.

I found it interesting that the glock was on the end of the table, but for the 2nd half of this "long" conversation between Rick and the Governor, he sat at the side of the table. Not really a spot for a quick reach. Not quick enough for Rick to draw out of his holster at least. There seems to be some sort of weird mutual respect between Rick and the Governor.

I attribute the Gov's actions to being because he's political in his actions and approaches, whereas Rick is the bull in the china shop....he'll throw down then and there. I think Gov recognizes that so he's not going to battle him straight up.....he'll do it by lying, by ambush, by conniving methods versus just squaring off......and Rick senses that as well, given that he doesn't disarm and lets Gov do all the talking......because talkers eventually can't stop themselves from revealing info whereas fighters stay quiet and observe......JMO......

Calling the Governor's bluff is one of the smartest moves Rick has made so far.

Maybe I'm the only one because i don't think I've read this regarding this last episode but...why in the hell didn't "quick draw mcgraw" Rick just gun the Governor down right then and there and end this mess? Yeah yeah to keep the story going and all but seems to me in that situation based on other events like the hitchhiker and such, there is no honor anymore, gotta do what needs doin'. That was the perfect spot for the Governor to get done.

I know for show purposes that was never going to happen but IRL if all things were equal up to that point Rick would have ended that conversation before it started.
