Wouldn't it be something if Microsoft ends up making this an either/or option? Those that want the DRM-enabled features can turn them on and those that want used games can turn them on. I'm not sure how exactly it would work out but maybe have it a once a year opt-in or something.
Similar to what we have now for MS points and Xbox Live Gold cards. Have cards for the games, you pay whatever price is charged for them, and they contain a code to download the game on your console.Quote:

PS3's launch was one of the more abysmal ones I've ever witnessed. I still can't believe I forked over $600 for that damn thing. I love my gaming systems, but I regretted that purchase for a long time (until Metal Gear Solid 4 to be exact).
I have to assume the One launch will be much better than that. $500 is a reasonable price point (although it would be flying off the shelves at $400) and it has a very good catalog of games to start, so it'll be fine. I'd almost be willing to wager that it wins America again.
