Price cuts from Target. Not immediately sure how favorably they compare with Amazon et al.

As well, not list there, the Square Enix Ultimate Collection (Just Cause 2, Kane & Lynch 2, two Tomb Raiders, & Supreme Commander 2) is only $7.50
I ended up picking up Arma II: Combined Operations for $15. I've been reading lately about a mod for that game that is a perpetual open-world online zombie game driving at life-like gameplay. Here's an article from Kotaku: DayZ
Amazon Gold Box
Deal of the day is Prototype 2 for $30. (PS3|360)
Yeah, those games at those prices are phenomenal. I bought Rage at $60 and I really wish I would have waited. It was an amazing game, but not worth $60. Now, at $10? That is an easy buy for those who have not picked it up. In fact, I owned every game up there, but Dead Island. All of those are worth the money. Heck, Red dead and GTA IV were worth their $60 price heads.
Don't know if this will work for everyone or not but the Omaha amazon local deal today is $35 for 12 months of XBL gold.

This one probably wont last long: Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City for $17.99 shipped from Best Buy for today ONLY.
360
PS3
I know it got pretty hammered in the reviews, but I believe that's because people were expecting a horror game, which it is not. I've played it, beaten it, and enjoyed every second of it. If you like 3rd person action shooters, you truly can't go wrong.
Also, it has very easy trophies/achievements for the most part, but if you plan on getting the platinum/1000GS, it's extremely time consuming for some of them.
The rest of the week for Best Buy's Deal of the Day was leaked, so it's not 100% confirmed, but:
Sunday: Operation Raccoon City(360,PS3) $17.99
Monday: Black Ops Controller(360,PS3) $9.99
Tuesday: Silent Hill Downpour(360,PS3) $19.99(I'm all over this one if true)
Wednesday: Arkham City Standard Edition(360,PS3) $19.99
Thursday: Tritton AX120(360) $19.99
Friday: TERA(PC) $24.99
Saturday: Rocketfish BT Headset $19.99
Amazon is offering a $50 giftcard with the purchase of a new WiFi($250) or 3G($300) Vita.

Tomorrow is an all video games day on Amazon Gold Box. Prepare to be underwhelmed.
Another waste of time. :fp: :fp: :fp:
Based on the descriptions and the Cheap Ass Gamer discussion about the hints, there is not a single damn thing that would even have me slightly interested. So basically, another typical Amazon Video Game Gold Box day.
6:00 PM PDT - This PS3 Headset is Officially Licensed by Sony
Wireless Stereo Headset
I just bought this for $79.99. Better not be that much cheaper.
Math is kinda fuzzy on this one but...
Microsoft's $99 Xbox 360 hits Best Buy, GameStop

It may be because I've become spoiled, but I find these Gold Box deals to be embarrassing. $47.99 for The Witcher 2? Seriously? Best Buy has been completely owning their asses when it comes to video game deals for the past several months. Hell, in the last 2 months alone I've gotten Arkham City, Silent Hill Downpour, and The Darkness 2 for under $10. I just walked in today and picked up SSX for $10.
...and then Amazon wants me to believe The Witcher 2 at $47.99 is considered to be a "gold" deal. :D
I miss the days when I'd set my alarm for one of these babies because I knew they were going to have a slew of deals well worth hopping on. I also remember when they would offer a $20 credit on just about any preorder. Oh well.
I'm not sure how it is with other headsets, but with the Sony ones you don't have to wire up anything to the surround sound receiver. Just with the dongle it automatically routes the game and chat sound to the headset. I know on my Turtle Beach ones for 360, I had to connect them into the audio jacks of my receiver.
They're coming out with the A50s next month. Mixamp is built into the headset and they're completely wireless. $300, though. I'm waiting on reviews, but I'll definitely be getting them if they are of the same quality as my A40s. My only complaint about the A40 is the same as yours...a ton of wires.
I can't stand Turtle Beach or Tritton headsets. They all have that annoying hiss when there's a silent part in the game.
It's pretty clear to me that Amazon has determined that they don't need to convince us to buy from them ... we will anyway. They're not trying to undercut their competition by a door-busting amount anymore.
Black Friday is going to be very, very interesting this year.
I've been wondering about that. The hiss in my Turtle Beach headset is pretty much constant, but I was never sure if it was my setup or what (I would certainly say that I have an unorthodox setup). Unfortunately none of my friends have other headsets, so I can't compare other than to buy other sets myself (which would be prohibitively expensive).
Yeah, it's normal. I've tried 2 different versions of each and they all 4 had the hiss. I've read reviews of other ones as well and apparently they all have the hiss. It always bugged me to death.
Yep, just one of the things they've done the past several months. The @Gamer magazine has coupons in it that stacks with their sales prices, and they're usually smart enough to put at least a few of the games on sale. They had SSX for PS3 and 360 on sale for $40 and the magazine had a $30 off coupon, so it was essentially $10. They dropped Soul Calibur to $30 and had a coupon for $20 off SCV in the same magazine, so it too was essentially $10.
That's just in last month's magazine. During the deal of the day the last 2 weeks they've had Arkham City for $10 and Silent Hill Downpour for $20 with no coupon required. They had The Darkness II for $9.99 with a coupon out of the magazine like a month after it launched. I almost forgot, but in the same magazine as the one that had the SSX and Soul Calubur coupons, they had $20 off The Deadliest Warrior and low and behold, they dropped the price to $19.99, so people were able to literally get it for free.
They've been killing it with gaming deals for the past several months. The $14.99 I spent for the magazine subscription was the best $15 I've ever spent. It's saved me hundreds of dollars and I'm not even halfway through my subscription.
IOU where you pick up the magazine
