I see player of the game looks to be screwed up again. QB easily rushed for 120+ yards yet a CB with three tackles is player of the game...???

I wish they would get some serious videos up and not these created players on Rookie setting type ones.
I'd also love to get some team and player ratings released
Instead of this All 25 stuff.
Every year I looked forward to ESPN's Jon Robinson highlighting rosters and team ratings this time of a year.
I know none of the rosters are finalized right now but damn, not sure why they went away with that if Prima isn't going to release anything like it.
Damn didn't know that I thought it was EA choosing not to do it anymore.
Know i've read a few of his articles just a few months ago
Still surely Prima or EA could release something similar.
I know I may be setting myself up for disappointment, but I can't help but be excited for this year's Madden.
IMO, for the first time on this generation, this year's game appears to be a build off of last year's installment. Far too often throughout the life cycle of this generation, Madden has seemed to be "reinventing" itself with each release. Madden 25 feels like and seems like its a build off of last year's game with new additions that people have actually been asking for (looking at you Owner's Mode)
I know the game isn't going to be perfect, nor is it going to have everything we all want. But damn, color me excited. :))
I am going into it with no major expectations. Madden 13 was very solid and owner mode + a ton of fixes since last year should make for a robust offering. However, more than anything I am excited to see what else Madden is getting with regards to the PS4. I suspect we won't see any info on that thought until AFTER the PS3 launch of Madden as they will not want to undercut their sales.
I'm excited for M25. I too expect it to build off of M13. I just hope for no setbacks in any area.
As for the PS4, I'm not excited about it and I never even really think about it. The graphic improvements do almost nothing for me. I find the graphics on Madden to be really good on the PS3. The gameplay camera angle is zoomed out so the only time you really see the improvement on a PS4 is in the instant replays and not while you actually play. For next gen to blow me away I need to see a ton of new animations and much smarter cpu AI. The gameplay has to take a significant leap forward and I'm not holding my breath on that. EA has a really dismal track record on the first game on the new consoles. I will give it serious consideration next summer but there is no chance I get a PS4 this year.
New video I believe:

Good video... but... please ... remove... that... terrible... commentary!!! Nantz: "it's been a game, we'll always remember." I heard that almost every games in 13.
"Avant in the slot!" :fp: I've heard the slot references too much already.
I thought last year was a great year of commenting in Madden. Nantz and Simms were the best duo they have ever had and the fact they recorded things together made it sound good. I was willing to forgive some things as it was the first year. But it doesn't sound like they improved that much. They need to say a lot more real names too. MLB 2K Baseball had great announcing and a 3 man booth. Kruk is filled with stories about 1/3 of the starters in the league. Gary Thorne said they put in 70 hours one year of audio recording and that was on a follow up year! Not the first year. I don't think Simms and Nantz put enough time in.
Simms needs a lot more specific commentary. Comments specifically about read-option plays, screen plays, passes downfield, etc. His comments on the passing game were off a lot last year. Every run that only nets 1 or 2 yards isn't the same either. Hopefully we'll be pleasantly surprised. It will still be light years better than Kirk Herbstreit who should have been replaced years ago on NCAA.
Rudy, I would bet that dollars to donuts the commentary is vastly improved... for PS4. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that there were big commentary improvements for next gen madden. I agree with you totally about Simms and Nantz. Last year I thought they were a breath of fresh air but thus far this year I am very underwhelmed. It seems like the new sideline reported is the biggest change to commentary.
And that sideline reporter's voice isn't that nice imo. It's a touch rough and I had never heard of her before M25.
Doesn't look like the Madden demo this week but August 13th was leaked awhile ago and is probably going to happen. Of course I'm in Toronto for work and won't be back until Thursday night. :(
