When Throwing Copper was big, the local rock station would play stuff from Mental Jewelry, and that older stuff was good too.

Rock Band has got me listening to their stuff again. Crazy how much fun it is to play their music on that game.
I am utterly surprised that Mors is talking mainstream rock with us Eric :D
:D
Old stuff is very good. It's this new shit that makes me want to
I mean, give me this over any new shit all day long.

No recess!!!!!!!!!!
If I was only 10 years older, I could have seen them play at a bar in Lincoln here in 1989.....
Yeah man. I wish I would have been born like 10 years earlier too. I missed out on Metallica and Anthrax both playing in Charleston back in the late 80s on the same tour! I would have died and gone to fuckin' heaven to see both of them at the same time.
I mean, hearing this:

in the late 80s.. I think... Public Enemy was suppose to tour with Sisters of Mercy..sponsored by Converse shoes.. I have to look it up to see if it ever happened... But PE had a song called "fear of a black planet" and Sisters of Mercy had a song called "Black planet"...would have been interesting if they found a way to mesh the two on stage haha
even if you hate the song, check out the Car in the vid !

Well, we're not all old curmudgeonly fuckers. ;)
But, yes, Nirvana is old. The Nirvana song that I just posted (School) is from the Bleach album that came out in 1989. I was 5 years old at the time and I'm 27 now. 22 years old is pretty damn old for music. It's not oldies or anything like that, but it's definitely old.
That's horrible. Don't mix a GOOD band with shit.
but this is my point Mors...youre basing time, taste, and style of music on your existence. 20 years is a drop in the bucket of time and Nirvanas stuff isnt old, you were just a new human at the time.
did you know this was a cover by Anthrax-original by Joe Jackson

Of course time is relative. Time isn't even a quantitative thing. Time is perceived and without someone to perceive it, time wouldn't exist. I can certainly get existential if you'd like, but, still, to all humans that perceive time, most, if not all, would agree that something that is 20+ years old is old when compared to something that's just coming out.
Yup, and one of the few Anthrax songs I don't like.
What can you use to prove that time exists? There's no quantitative way to PROVE that time exists. Aging isn't proof that time exists because you don't notice that aging happens unless you actively watch it happening, thus forcing time to exist by way of you noticing that time is happening.
Simply put, without something noticing that time is happening, time wouldn't happen to that object.
