Simply put... PS Plus is a joke. If I didn't need it for online I would cancel immediately. Xbox Gold is $10 more and 100X better in its offerings, especially with backwards compatibility.
Amen. PS Plus so far is turning out to be crap. I've downloaded like two games in the last year (Rocket League and Walking Dead season two), other than, not a damn thing that interests me. Sony has had a massive hard-on for indie games, and it's making the service worthless for me other than the fact that I must have it to play online.
If it was like Plus was on PS3, just a bonus side thing, I would have cancelled my subscription a long time ago. Unfortunately they went the same route as Xbox One and made it mandatory for online play. The difference is Xbox Gold actually gives you good games.

First, as already pointed out by bdoughty, those numbers are sorely skewed because of PS having the Vita, making most months 6 games for Sony vs. 4 games for Xbox.
Second, congrats, PSN, supposedly, wins the "money war". Guess what, I don't give a fuck "how much" I'm given money wise. All I give a fuck about is what games are offered. You can enjoy playing "Stick Your Thumb Up Your Ass 2016 Party Version" and "Another shitty looking indie game that no one has ever heard of version 75" with a $29.99 retail price. I'll enjoy Gears of War 2, Thief, Deus Ex, Tomb Raider, etc.
Also, you have to own a PS4, a PS3 and a Vita to truly get all of that $1,136.79 value. I have only a PS4. So my value is more likely WELL less than half of that grand total. And I sure as fuck ain't going out and buying a PS3 and Vita just so I can get a couple more shitty free games, that I already have no interest in playing, a month from PS+. While on the other hand, if you have an Xbox One, hell, you don't even need a 360, all you need is an online account, you get ALL FOUR Games with Gold with ONE SINGLE console required to play, thanks to backwards compatibility.

LOL. I don't care much for indie titles. Some are good, most are useless to me. XBox definitely has offered more Triple A titles and with BC is a lot better in that regard. Would it kill Sony to even release Knack on PS+? It would be nice to see some older AAA titles appear but that is as likely as Trump praising Obama.

Tropico 5 is a GREAT offering for free. I need to get back into playing it. The control scheme was very well done considering it's a computer game ported over to PS.

Sony FINALLY stepped their game up this month. Downloaded both Table Top Racing and Tropico 5 on Tuesday afternoon. Played TTR a little bit, fun little game as a time waster. Put already probably 12 hours into Tropico 5 solely in Sandbox Mode. Haven't done the other modes yet, but I'll definitely be playing the hell out of it. Always a great game.
I like how the races are very quick.

On a different note, I would like to give a plug for Playstation Vue. We cut the cable last fall, got rid of cable and enjoyed the heck out of college football and NFL. We got most if not all the NFL games via an HD T.V. antenna. We used slingbox with ESPN and the SEC network for the rest of the college football games that weren't on via the antenna.
So fast forward to this spring and I'm wanting to watch some hockey. (by the way we got rid of sling t.v. once college football was over, no contracts, pay by the month, great service). So NHL is on NBC maybe once a weekend, usually on Sunday. The rest of the hockey games are on NBCSN, CNBC, USA, which we couldn't get NBCSN without a cable subscription. To get the cable package that allowed use to get NBCSN we'd have to get the super duper $80+ package.
I bought the $44/month Playstation Vue Elite Slim which has all the sports channels you could ask for AND NBCSN. It also always me to access NBC Live Extra via my tablet or PC. I've been able to watch EVERY NHL hockey play-off game.
I'm not saying PS4 is better than XBOX1, just saying this Playstation Vue is a great alternative to cable. It works on both my PS3 and PS4 so my wife can watch different shows if she's not into that nights hockey game.
We still use the Xbox1 for Hulu+ and netflix so both machines are great, I've just been really impressed with Playstation Vue. The other nice things is once hockey is over there are no cancellation fees.
NFL Network and History are the big things missing for me on Vue, otherwise I'd jump.
Finally downloaded Table Top Racing and Tropico.
TTR reminds me of Micro Machines a little bit. Definitely enjoy it, nearly up to getting a top level car midway through the 3rd Cup.
