The few I have had so far coach are just voice over discussions while some highlights of the half play.

The method for rearranging your recruits has been drastically improved. I know this is minor but it is more intuitive and less frustrating. Menu system is much improved as well.
Umm did I miss something? Can you no longer set recruiting difficulty?

Just to update: My original setup schedule removed UNC and added Ole miss giving me nine SEC games. I have since deleted and reloaded and the schedule is fine now:dunno:. Really would not upset me if non conference was off however conference games need to be right.
Well after the download fiasco I have played two games.
Game 1: Arizona St. 17 @ Michigan 7 (heavy snow)
Game 2: Arizona 14 vs Alabama 17 (last second field goal cpu wins)
The second game was phenomenal. Now I have only changed penalty sliders, moved the threshold to zero and speed to slow and the game has played pretty well.
Observations so far:
1. penalties are few and far in between
2. what's with all the gray face masks???
3. assisted tackles are not working
4. I haven't had any pancakes recorded in two games
5. half-time show is a good start... but I was kind of expecting more to be honest
6. qb read options and qb runs are just killing me
7. zone D is very, very, very soft
8. crowd noise is far too quiet, especially between plays
9. SLIDERS will be crucial to fix the defensive situation IMO
10. fields/players look great... stadiums and crows look far worse than last year
However, one thing I was really impressed with... in the Alabama game the cpu lost the starting rb and immediately changed philosophy to pass first. It was pretty shocking
Just set up my initial board and went thru scouting and 1st weeks recruiting. I LOVE that I have no idea how this is going to turn out. Just like a first year coach should feel. Really worried about adding so many 3 star recruits when I'm a 1 star school. Even though I'm first on a lot of them I'm afraid in the end they'll go to a higher rated school.

The kick return I feel like a get a lot of yards even playing on Heisman and also I keep getting tackled by the ankle and the player warping to mine for the tackle.
I am so damn good I defy the laws of physics.

This question may be a bit premature, but is it to early to ask if anyone has Updated Roster Info?
Game 3 ASU (me) 24 @ Idaho 0
For this game I used my slightly modified demo sliders and totally dominated Idaho. I choose this game to see how my sliders would work vs. a cupcake. They worked very well. The Idaho qb was 15-30 for 154 yards 1 int and 1 fumble. However, the cpu had no running game as they rushed for -5 yards in total (starting rb had 4 carries for 9 yards).
The game is feeling good but if you play in Idaho you may wish not to use coordinator cam as some plays you will see things from the rafters and some views will be blocked. Sliders are crucial for a good user experience IMO. I will keep working on these tonight.
Can anyone recommend what I should adjust my defensive sliders to when I get my game Tuesday?
Wow! I was just shredded by Oregon. They rushed for, wait for it... 328 yards!!! I was down 21-0 at the half The read option just killed me. However, two issues are concerning me at this point.
1. Zero fumbles in five games (me or the cpu)
2. 90% of the time the QB runs to the right
- on heisman qb running is over-powered imo
I've played 5 Dynasty games, ALL in the rain. On Defense, it's like my 11 guys aren't even on the field, I'm hoping/thinking a decent set of sliders can fix this. The crowd sounded decent on the demo when I cranked my shitty little sound bar up, but now the crowd hits this lull where it sounds like I've got my ear pressed up against a really loud seashell. Kinda like a wind tunnel noise, I really don't know how to describe it, but it sounds terrible. And like some others have said, the Gray face masks annoy the hell out of me, but I'm pretty sure this will be fixed rather quickly in the coming weeks. Other than these things I'm enjoying the game.
Anyone figure any decent schemes out on defense yet? I'm not talking sliders, but something that can be used in online play. The lack of defense is appalling.
I'm getting good pressure out of 335 across, & 5-2 off the edge. I haven't had a User v User game yet since I have the disc, but I feel like I'm going to enjoy this game immensely. Once I find consistent defense, it'll be pretty fun. Kickoff blocking makes coverage tough, definitely a offensive game, but it is fluid though. Zones are horrible, man defense is very balanced in a good way. However, I wish the default threshold was at 30. I shouldn't be getting caught in the open field with 95+ SPD players.

no more hot routed fades I see. difference from the demo.

Okay I have played all night and I am zoning out so it's time for bed. I have just been getting scorched by the running qb's this evening. Reads, options, scrambles, etc. are going for huge yards. Almost every game a running qb will go for 100+ yards (on heisman). Sliders cannot seem to address this area of the run game.
Just let the QB run the option on you a few times and he is bound to fumble. I was playing Army/Navy last night and EA really needs to realize that option QB's are athletes and can run the ball a few more times before turning red. It has been this way for so long but I figured with the focus on the option that they would give option QB's more stamina.
I agree there is a lack of defense but I am actually finding it to be more of a challenge than a nuisance. Getting a stop feels good and a 3 and out I darn near want to hop out of my chair and do a happy dance. It is just like real life college football, the offense has the advantage. Now this is Big 12 type of defense we are seeing but even those black and blue conferences are seeing the point totals rise.
My tendency is to play linebacker but I might move back to playing a safety role to put more pressure on the run. I prefer to stick with one player (not player lock) and switch when necessary.
I have a rule and it might not apply to all but why not try and master the game as is (default sliders)? I think people hit the sliders too quickly looking for the magical "perfect game." Unless the game is completely broken and it is not, hit the practice field and get to where you can realistically stop the option.
I find EA's football games are never good at default and usually need a lot of tweaking to get the game where I like it. After years of seeing the same stuff we usually end up making similar adjustments every year too - like dropping the QB accuracy slider, boosting the cpu running game (although it was a lot better this year on the demo), dropping the INT slider, etc. I don't have a lot of time to waste playing on default when I know it's a 99% given that the same things I tweak every year will need to be tweaked again. Most companies fine-tune the default settings to be more arcade like for the casual gamer so I'm not wasting my time with stuff like QB accuracy at default when I know it will be crap there.
It's not just EA either. Every year with the Show since 06 the pitchers fatigue is done poorly. I always have to put starter fatigue up a bit and drop reliever fatigue down to 0 or 1 (out of 10). I always have to reduce pitch control for the user since it's too easy to hit your spots (like the casual gamer wants).
I keep track of all my sliders for every game and when I see the same thing done every year why not change it right away? If I don't like it I can always move it back.
any chance someone could post a video or image of :Louisville: Papa John's Cardinal Stadium?
I had a family emergency that prevented me from downloading Season Ticket last night and as of this morning still not home.
Thanks in advance
From os "glitch thread"...........seems I am not the only one:D
Re: NCAA Football 14 Bugs and Glitch Thread
Platform (360/PS3): 360 (early release, not retail)
Whats the bug? Starting a dynasty with Alabama, if you go into custom schedules Week 1 is an open week. It should be Virginia Tech. Missouri is added to the schedule to make for 9 conference games, which the SEC is not doing right now. I don't see a way on the Conference Rules screen to set the number of conference games.
What game mode did you experience the bug/glitch in? Dynasty
How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it? I believe it happens if you look at the Conference Rules from the BCS Bowl Tie-Ins screen. I tried starting a dynasty numerous times, and after looking at that screen (no edits made) the Virginia Tech game is missing. If I do not look at that screen, the Virginia Tech game is there and Alabama only has 8 conference games scheduled.
How often can the bug be reproduced? 5 times in a row so far.
Do you have video or pictures? No, but I guess I can take a picture if needed.

Quick question. I didn't buy NCAA 13, and I'm wondering if the team intros are the same length as in 12? I don't want to change my audio file as it is perfectly synched with the team intro on 12. Thanks
A couple of observations after playing about 4 games vs the cpu:
-Shotgun/Pistol running is still much easier vs under center. I have not noticed near as many missed blocks when running from the shotgun compared to under center and I am not talking just in the option. Sweeps, dives, draws, and counters are more effective in the gun vs under center.
-The LE glitch still seems present. I have played back to back dynasty games and my LE has had 4 sacks in each.
-Pass defense is bad.(no need to go further as it has been discussed)
-Nowhere near enough fumbles so far.
-I would like to see some of the cutbacks tuned to where only the big time ball carriers can do it on a consistent basis. It just does not seem right when RB's with mid 80's agility and Acc are looking like Barry Sanders.
-Stud Cpu defenders on your team do a much better job of making and impact than I can ever remember. I am in year 2 and FS #2 for Miami has 19 tackles in 2 games to lead the team. Anyone who has been in OD's with me knows I user the MLB and ALWAYS have the most tackles.
-Along the lines of not enough fumbles, I would like to see the QB fumble more when getting sacked from the blindside. Maybe have a sack/strip annimation?
I am really hoping between a few patches, tuner sets, and sliders this game gets some love because it has the potential to be really good. I am looking forward to seeing how it plays vs humans today or tomorrow to really get a feel for what we are in store for.
Without tweaks I find that Heisman doesn't always offer a huge challenge. Even with slider tweeks the cpu doesn't run the ball great... but the running cpu qb's can be unstoppable at times. I don't find EA sliders work as well as they should.
I'm still upset that as a HC you have no control on hiring/firing/retaining OC/DCs
