thanks
I'll try to dig into Dynasty a bit deeper tonight or tomorrow but one new addition is that names that were submitted to be able to hear Nessler to announce them during a game a couple of years ago... those are now all added to the database that is used to generate recruits & coaches. So... you might end up recruiting a player with the last name Gschwend at some point :)
Are 2 and 3 star players actually viable at Big boy schools?
it depends on what you are looking for... for example most positions require a special skill like "catching"... you might recruit player XYZ who has a SPARQ rating of 93 [SPARQ tests sport related athleticism not necessarily skills like "catching"] but XYZ only has a catch rating of 70...so he's big, fast, and agile but has mediocre hands.... meanwhile player ABC has a lower SPARQ orating of 85...but a catch rating of 88...so he's slower, less agile, and not as strong...but has better hands than XYZ
if you are looking for pure athleticism grab the high SPARQ rated players.... if you care more about a certain skill...look at that
Great explanition, Speed Power Agility Reaction Quickess.I wont care for them, then I will only worry about High SPARQ players is for KR/PR or just for athleticism. But I will not pass up on 100+ player if they are intersted.
So a 100+ SPARQ is a freak of nature

Can you edit who your impact players are, or is that done by the game?
Ryno has a new video with end of season stats and they look so good. The better RBs are now averaging in the upper 6's and QBs are running for over 1000 yards!
Darron Thomas won the heisman and I went and checked his stats in the game from last years stats and his passing yards were only like 30 yards off from what it was in real life..incredible.
What is the highest SPARQ rating you can have in the game
It's fairly easy.
To post a link to a website, there are one of two ways to do it:
1. get the url (www.msnsports.net for example) and then put [ url ]www.msnsports.net[ /url ] (without the spaces between the [ or ] and url) - giving you this www.msnsports.net
2. using the same url but want to have words different from what the url is you can do this instead [ url = www.msnsports.net ]WVU Football[ /url ] - giving you this: WVU Football
Now, for a picture, it's really easy:
[ img ]http://www.wvmetronews.com/images/UniformPic4.jpg[ /img]
To give you this:
http://www.wvmetronews.com/images/UniformPic4.jpg
Now, for a video, like a youtube video, it's just as easy:
[ video ]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcNBUbQfP6Y&feature=player_detailpage#t=23 8s[ /video ]
Give you this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcNBUbQfP6Y&feature=player_detailpage#t=23 8s
If you look on the sparq wiki page someone got 130
In-Season progression looked minimal, would love to see some offseason progression...
Are the bowl tie-ins more inline with real life? Hated having to go to the GMAC Bowl and play a MAC team as Big East runner-up.
It's sorta off limits because we haven't received the final answer. In past older builds, the prestige didn't change. There wasn't any certainty this would make retail, so I really don't have an answer, it's more of a TBD answer. It could have made retail, could be on the first patch or second patch....we just don't know yet.
Alright I'm going to go through and read these threads sometime this week but just because I'm lazy :P can someone fill me in or point me to where it's already been posted about any details on how different recruiting is (if at all) from last years version? Any improvements or changes?
There hasn't been much discussion on that point from what I've seen.
I thought of some other questions...
The Contract Feedback with the job security goals where you have to like get a total of 3,000 yards on offense or something similar, is that all dynamic? Do the goals change depending on certain things like A) Quarter Length B) Coach Prestige or C) When you sign a new contract after meeting the goals of your previous contract?
I plan to play my dynasty on 8 Min. QTRs not 5 Min. QTR's which I assume is still default. Will the goals change and update to accommodate this change or are the goals always going to be generated with 5 minute quarters in mind making it way to easy for those who choose to play longer minute quarters?
If your a higher prestige coach do they expect more from you and thus making your contract goals harder and thus if your low prestige and struggling the goals your expected to meet are lesser?
Lastly if you sign say a 2 year contract and meet most your goals and they extend you a new contract to resign with the team, will the goals change on this new contract or will it basically be the same 2 year contract you signed previously?
I would just hate to see the goals be too easy to accomplish when playing on 7-8 minute quarters because I know a lot of dynasties out there prefer the longer time and still want to be able to have a dynamic dynasty with coaches and contract goals.
Thanks in advance and sorry if this has already been discussed.
I was worried from the demo that it was a little too easy to get sacks so when I saw that video posted with end of season stats I thought I'de look at the sacks allowed for the upper tier tackles and defenders.

Now I'm not sure what difficulty the person was using EDIT: It was on All American difficulty so these numbers seem fine to me. Is this realistic or similar to real life? I still have a inkling that sacks will be easy to get for users on the default diff. (All American) though.
I desperatly wanna know the max number off teams you can take over in a OFFLINE dynasty. in all vids i saw to this point, they started the dynasty and straight went into it after setting up their coach. i allways played with 12 teams and dont want to preorder when i can just play with a single school like in ncaa basketball
I would like to know what schools have what pipeline states as my OD is mainly teambuilder teams and we port our rosters over from the previous game. Thanks
When a prospect commits to your school do they still stay on your recruiting board and take up one of the 35 spots?
I hated that in all the previous games and I hope they changed it but I can live with it if they didn't. I just think you should be able to add a new prospect to the board and try to recruit them or just have them as a fallback option in case any prospects commit elsewhere. I understand they want you to be able to see who you have already committed but then just make it so the commits don't take up a spot of the 35 but still show up on the list at the bottom. That has to be possible. There should be no worries about recruiting too many when you have a set limit of scholarships and a set roster size...
I do not think Quarter Length is factored. I think the goals are derived from the quality of the program (i.e. schools like Tulsa have lesser expectations than Ohio State) and perhaps with an influence from coach prestige. They didn't go in detail, at least with me, about how goals are derived, so that's just my assessment based on the goals I've seen.
I think the goals are not derived from an individual game's statistics, but instead a "normal" set of season statistics. That's my guess, at least. But I don't believe they change based on quarter length.
If you are a higher prestige coach, you will probably have a higher prestige job. I believe that's the basic determining factor.
Example:
Ohio State Offensive Coordinator: One goal to reach 5800+ in each season. Two goals for 4200+ in one season and each season, but those two goals carry very little credit (few >>>) and a lot of penalty if not reached (many <<<).
Tulsa Offensive Coordinator: One goal to reach 3400+ in one season, one goal to reach 3000+ in each season, and one lesser goal to reach 2800+ in one season.
It's similar to the stats from the last two seasons in real life. There were about 15 guys each of the last two years that had double-digits in solo sacks.
I didn't play practically any of the demo, but in my experience, on All-American default, getting sacks is not "easy" in the retail version.
You already have 35 spots with a set limit of 25. I can understand wondering why they remain, but I also see limited value in having more "backup" spots, potentially. I would hazard to guess that the majority of the "hardcore" players don't even use a full 35 board anyway. I guess that's a long winded way of asking why you want to see it changed. What value do you get out of having, for example, 20 committed players and having more than 15 players on your board for 5 spots?
Unfortunately, he's talking about porting Teambuilder teams onto the new rosters, which is going to be different to have different pipelines for '12 than it was in '11.
diplomat, I'd love to get to a request like that, but as soulja said, that's a significant amount of time spent when there's a lot of other stuff for us to answer / look at. If we have time, I, or some of the other guys, might dive into it, but I'd expect that's something that will remain unanswered until you get your hands on a retail copy.
If there are specific scenarios you'd like me or someone else to look for, that would be more doable. For example, last year I was looking at pipelines with Ohio as the main state ... so I took a look at a handful of Ohio schools and took note of their pipelines. If you could make a list like that, it would at least be potentially more doable.
Coaching Contract goals don't appear to change with Quarter Length, though it appears ... appears ... that the amount of credit/penalty may have changed when I modified the quarter length before beginning my dynasty.
Im worried about CC. In one video it had the Cal OC coming to Navy to run pro style and navy coach to WF. Something tells me these teams are gunna end up doing horribly due to lack of proper personnel
