According to this seating chart, the band sits in Section 111--it is the white square next to the purple Section 112 behind the visitor sideline--which is in the student section on the sideline.

Band Name: The Ohio State University Marching Band, also known as TBDBITL (The Best Damn Band in the Land)

As marked in this seating chart, the Ohio State band is seated in 38AA, which is the closest section to the field, all the way to the left, when facing the South Stands.

Thanks for adding some live images to my posts, Chris; much appreciated. I've now gone to every single school's athletics website looking to see if their seating charts defined the band section. If that was the case, I've posted it here. What's left is likely going to be significantly more difficult to figure out since we'll need to track down live images of the band out of their seats and then work through which section corresponds on the seating chart.

Paakaa - flickr is a very good resource as well. Just type in the stadium name and hope to find the band or a huge seating gap! :p I just lucked out on flickr and found where Northwestern sits. Awesome job again, BTW. Very impressive, man!

It's really hard to be certain because of how the stadium is designed, but I believe that the band section is Section 28 at field level on the bottom-left.

Little bit of conjecture here; nothing on the official WVU site says where the band sits, but the picture from before a game below:

Leads me to believe that the band sits in front of the purple section on that seating chart; if you look closely at the chart, there's a small grey section in front of it which is not identified. And, in the live picture, there is a platform for a band leader to stand in front of that section.

I'm not going to lie; this has actually been a pretty fun "scavenger hunt" type game to play today. Who knows when EA will actually get around to putting these specific sections in the game, but it's still cool that they're working on getting the information in place so that they have it ready when they decide to go in that direction. Pretty crazy to think that just a few years ago in NCAA Football 10 it was a big deal to just have bands marching on the field before the game and it was considered a presentation improvement.

I imagine the hardest band sections to figure out will be the Bowl Games and neutral field Rivalry Games; not like there are any seating charts just sitting around for those match-ups.

Maybe we'll get some "Special Thanks" acknowledgment in the game credits when it finally does go in! :-p

following up on this, i got a responce from Tombo Ahi, who runs the Hawaii football fan blog. he said that the student section sits in the orange section of PP and QQ.
the UH band sits in the upper half of the orange section RR
if the away team band comes to hawaii games, they usually sit in orange section R or S.

for bowl games at aloha stadium, hawaii is usually the visiting team and so they sit in the away team band section, orange section R.
