Did :Michigan: learn nothing from when the NFL went to throwbacks in 1994 and some of the teams trotted out pure junk? Anyone remember Green Bay? Philly? Chicago? The number on the helmet is nice and I would have no problem w/ them going to that full time... but those jerseys... if anything can make Denard Robinson look slow... those ugly things will do the trick.
As far as :Notre_Dame: goes... Very classy, very nice.
:Notre_Dame: +100 :Michigan: -100
I love the Notre Dame unis
Like both of them, can't pick. I'm going with Michigan strictly because they have stitching on the numbers like they did back in the day. Seems like a minor uniform nuance with which to make a decision, but I will remind you I am an Oregon fan and thus have a life experience degree in fashion design.
I dont understand what Michigan is doing?
the helmet style existed but absolutely nothing about the jersey is from their history except maybe the weak attempt at the sleeves
Is there any chance these jerseys will be in the game?
I don't understand the hate on these Michigan unis. I like them....A LOT!
EDIT: I do seriously wish that they had kept the M stripes to just 3 across the shoulder, and not continued them onto the sleeve, that would've been REALLY sick!
I guess, but most throwbacks these days are pseudo history, with some sort of new-aged rendering. So to me I guess it's not a big deal as long as there is something in the uni that actually holds the quality of "throwback". As you said, it's the helmet. Actually I like that helmet more than without the numbers.... :D
since after my ducks michigan is my #2 i have to say that i love the uniforms... honestly... think its funny with the combat'ish feel being adidas...
but hey... i cant say ANYTHING about crazy uniforms being a ducks fanatic... so ill just say this...
like ND's a tad more, but love them both... and really hope they make it in with DLC... FREE of course =)

The striped sleeves were part of UM history, as are the helmets with numbers.

The big block M with the smaller number is not.
:Ddude, look a page or 2 back, I already posted every example of Mich uniform history:D I'm aware of the 1890s uni... they should have just put a small M over the left chest like the 1890s uni and maybe put the number on the right since officials need to be appeased with that crap ....
I already saw your post. Just pointing it out again since copying a previous uniform isn't always the goal. Probably why they are called Legacy jerseys, not throwbacks.
wheres the legacy? its a fictional creation that has nothing to do with the past...which I dont really have a problem with but I think if your calling it a legacy, you try a tad harder then just putting a big M in front haha. and its too bad sleeves are tight now, it kind of takes away from jersey creativity
that being said, while looking at stuff, I saw an ooold Florida State team picture and on the front of every jersey/shirt/sweater was a huge F haha
I look at it this way...
A throwback would imply that the uniform--as designed--exactly matched a uniform that had been worn by the team in the past. As you've stated multiple times here, this is not the case with the Michigan uniform for this game.
A legacy uniform, however, could draw from multiple designs in the history of Michigan football to have the overall legacy of the program reflected in a single uniform design. I believe that this is what the intention was for the design. I'll try to pull up a quote from the uniform reveal to illustrate this.
