It's really slow paced for some, but I enjoyed doing the detective work. The driving and shooting is VERY GTA like. I have a feeling you'll dig L.A. Noire.

Heavy Rain wasn't slow. It was engaging, unlike LA Noire. LA Noire was boring as hell. There was nothing all that interesting from what I played of it whereas I played through Heavy Rain twice and was intently engaged in my brother's playthrough as well. Heavy Rain was interesting because of the mystery behind it all whereas LA Noire is just a series of boring hide and seek games where it's completely impossible to ever get the "interview" mini-games correct, no matter how intently you pay attention to these people.
I so have to agree LA nore got boring super fast.Only had it a for a month .It also got very repetitive for me. The only thing I enjoy where the story some and graphics were par
LA Noire did get very repetitve after awhile. I do wish I could've beat the game, but everytime I tried to interview someone in the interview room, I was unable to start the interrogation. The only option I had was to restart the entire case and I was pretty far along.

The buy 2 get 1 deal is such a sham because they raise their prices to where you're not really saving anything.
Amazon has been sued before for things like this. If I am not mistaken, Amazon used to have new items priced differently based on where the IP address and your internet history. I.e. Person X and Person Y would go to their site and look at an item at the exact same time and the prices could very well be completely different.
Case in point. I just took these two screen shots:
In the 2 for 1 section:

I used the buy 2 get one yesterday and for new release games it actually saved me quite a bit. I realize they screw you on certain titles but with new release games you will be saving some serious money.

Hmm, tempting. I've been wanting to get MW3, and Skyrim has quickly caught my eye in the last few weeks, after I never even gave it any consideration in the past.
How long is the deal good for?
If you need to catch up on your purchasing of EA SPORTS titles...buy 2 get 1 free.
Damn, hopefully it lasts for a day or two. I get paid sometime overnight tonight, depending on when Clear Channel feeling like DDing my paycheck into my bank account, so by 6am tomorrow morning, I'd be all over that.

Nice. Homefront has always been on my interest list since it was released. Looks like I'm gonna be biting on that.
And I know have a nice sized backlog of games myself. Assassin's Creed Revelations is set to arrive by no later than 3pm today. I just ordered Modern Warfare 3 and Skyrim with the Buy 1, Get 1 50% off deal through Amazon, and with free two day shipping those will be here by no later than Thursday. I also just bit the bullet on Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary and ordered it through Amazon as well with free two day shipping. I just ordered Homefront for $7 through GameFly's Used Game Sale. And Dead Island is in the middle of being shipped to me by bdoughty.
6 games all scheduled to arrive by no later than Friday this week. And all this with two live drive campaigns going on on two separate radio stations that pretty much keep me busy from 6am until 5pm. Thank god I have no other games that I want to get the rest of the year. I have my eye on WWE 12, but that'll be a January or later purchase.
Does that mean I can expect to have a MW3 buddy? It would definitely be nice - randoms blow! :D
You'll love Skyrim. It's absolutely, hands down the most amazing game I've ever played. Just unbelievable. I'm heading in right now to pick up my Revelations Signature Edition and then Halo Anniversary, and then I'm completely done until Black Friday.
I want to get MW3 for 360 eventually since there are quite a few people I know on there too. Great thing about MW is the resale value is always good.
Yep, I'm game for teaming up in MW3. I hate playing randoms as well. The only times I'll play regular MP in COD is if I'm with at least one or two other friends, so at least then I'll know I have someone worth a damn on my team.
Yeah, Skyrim was on my "hmm, interesting" list up until about a month ago. Since then, it's been bumped up to my "damn I want this" list. So it was an easy decision to jump on the 50% off deal with the combo of MW3 and Skyrim.
Yeah, I'm hoping the UPS guy shows up during the 1pm hour, like they sometimes do. We have a live drive remote for one of our campaigns 4-7pm, so if he shows up during the 1pm hour, that'll give me a good hour and half to play and enjoy Revelations before I have to leave for the remote.
Ms. Splosion Man is on sale for 400 points, well worth $5 that will be spent from what I've heard. I just got my Reward Points added in to put me over 400 so I got it.
Amazon Deal of the Day: Collector's Edition Day (Up to 75% off): Duke Nukem Forever, Killzone 3, Fallout: New Vegas, Epic Mickey, Dead Rising 2, TRON, Mafia II and more.
Sweet I might have to get the Duke Nukem Balls of Steel Edition for $18
Yo JB, thanks for keeping this thread going and such. Has helped me several times. :)
Gears of War 3 - $34.99 (Amazon)
Gears of War 3 - $34.99 + 800 MS Points (Best Buy)
I believe this is just a one-day sale, so act fast.
The Best Buy one is damn near a Black Fridayesque deal...
