Hooked up my 3TB external that I was hoping to hold out to use on the PS4, but might as well use it on the XB1 as I'm down to about 100GB. It was so easy, c'mon Sony, match this!
Agreed, I bought a 3TB drive, hooked it up, Xbox 1 formatted it in about 5 seconds, then I was able to transfer all my games over in less than 1 hour. I think there are 7 games total. I haven't even put a dent in the external and now all the internal has on it is Madden 15 and the operating system.
It's very user friendly, plug in the USB and you're off and running.
I'm loving the Kinetc, I went into the settings and made it recognize me, now when I walk in the room and say Xbox On it turns the machine on, it's amazing, kinda futuristic spooky. :D
I don't mind the voice stuff but Sucks when you have other stuff / noise or people around when your are playing games the kinect recognize it and mess up what your doing. I disable it while I play to annoying.
Had my first weirdness with Xbox1, was playing my CFM, week 1 preseaon. Losing 13-0 at the half it was showing the highlights, I press A to skip the highlights and the Xbox loaded Fitness, after I backed out of Fitness Madden was no longer on and I had to restart Madden. It had no record of me playing the game.
I don't mind starting over, just not sure why it did this. :dunno:
Sorry, I am new to this, I thought I added you a while back, when I search my friends list it didn't show you, however it did show a request from 3 weeks ago. I've added you now, atleast I think I did.
Please be patient with this old guy, I'm still learning how all this stuff works.

EDIT: if you happen to get Madden 15 and want to play in a Connected Franchise, let me know. I started one and am still in pre-season week 1. My buddy is the Bucs and I'm the Panthers. I've put in some really good sliders, we aren't that good at this game but we really enjoy football. Join us if you can, if you're interested let me know and I'll send the franchise invite.
We are using these sliders, I found online:

No worries. I am also still trying to figure this xbox machine out. :) As for Madden I would play you BUT I have Madden 15 on PS4 and I don't think I will jump to the one with madden 15. However, I plan on getting EA Access in the summer so hopefully Madden 15 will be there in the vault sooner or later.
Xbox Live Service Down On Xbox One

This game looks REALLY fun.
I have it downloaded but haven't played it yet. It was the free XB1 game this month for Gold subscribers.
Thats pretty cool. 30 bucks not bad.. Would look into it down the road. Would be very useful .
Meh, unnecessary in my opinion. I just use the extra long USB cable that came with my One and plug my controller straight into the console itself to charge it when it runs low. A simple snap of the cable to the controller and I can keep playing while I do it. I don't even have to have it plugged into my One, I can plug it into my cell phone USB outlet adaptor and charge the controller off a normal wall outlet while playing. Of course I only have one controller so I can get away with that. But it would also work with multiple controllers. Just have one plugged in via USB and use one that's unplugged.

I NEED to get a USB cable. I have gone through a 16 pack of batteries since Christmas day.
I'm also able to use my phone charger as the plug is the same size for my phone and the controller. I think it's also same size on PS4 controller. They're finally starting to normalize in regards to using the same size plugs on phones and other items. So between my USB cord that came with my One, the one that came with my PS4 and the one that came with my phone, I can keep everything plugged in and charging no problem.

Xbox One getting screenshots with the March system update preview
http://www.polygon.com/2015/2/18/8066585/xbox-one-screenshots-release-date-preview-program-beta
Quite a few additions in the update. Just got done reading it on Major Nelson. I'll have to fire up my One tonight and get the update installing.

About time Xbox one gets screen shots. Should of had it to start.
Anyone considering picking up Screamride when it comes out in March? The game is developed by Frontier, the same company who developed Roller Coaster Tycoon. Originally I was really excited wen I heard about it but the game seems to be pretty minimal. Plus, a new roller coaster tycoon is to be released on PC this year so maybe this game is a token gesture for xbox owners?
Games With Gold pretty solid in March

Question, how do you change your xbox one to adjust to daylight savings?
My settings screen does not have the same menus as pictured here:
http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-o...ystem-settings
I do not have an "automatically adjust for daylight savings" option on my Xbox one?
Any tips?
EDIT: ok, figured it out. I logged out of Xbox live then went to settings and changed my time zone from US central to something else, then changed it back to US Central and boom the "automatically adjust for daylight savings" now shows up.
I logged back into Xbox Live and all is well. Strange how things work...
I'm still ready for battletoads ... come on Xbox release it already. . Was a solid game back in the day.
Environmentalists Attack XB1

Good lord, people will bitch about anything. I don't use Instant On because of fears early on of sudden power loss reports bricking people's systems and just never got around to turning it on since. But after reading that, I'm tempted to turn it on just as a personal "fuck you" to those dipshits.

Pool Nation FX is free this month for Xbox1 with Xbox Live Gold.
Wonder why Pool Nation has poor ratings on the XB1 rating system. Only 3 out of 5.
Here's one review that may explain it. Sounds like Pure Pool did it perfect, and Pool Nation didn't.
"When games from 15 years ago managed to master the basics of the sport better than your brand new game, there's a problem. Not only that, but when a game is free and yet isn't even worth your time to play it, there's a problem."
Eh, oh well. I downloaded it the other day. I like playing pool and sure am not about to turn down a free pool game.
#TheScriptIsDead
Yeah definitely free is free. I've been playing the hell out of Pure Pool lately so I'm sure I will not enjoy this if the controls are as janked as they say they are.
funny how this group of liberals is bashing liberalism's attack on MS:

Not sure how new of a thing this is, but showing the qr code to the Kinect instead of typing in the 25 digit code is really nice.
Microsoft might be killing off Media Center in Windows 10, but the company is reportedly bringing one of its key features over to the Xbox One. Paul Thurrott reports that a TV recording solution for the Xbox One is coming soon, and most likely this year. Microsoft currently supports TV tuners in Europe and North America on its Xbox One console, but there's only live TV pausing and not full DVR capabilities.
It's logical that Microsoft would want to add a TV DVR function. When the software company originally unveiled the Xbox One it was designed as an all-in-one entertainment and games console, with a big focus on TV features. Xbox One owners can use cable boxes with the console thanks to HDMI-in support, but it's not clear if any DVR support would capture recordings from this source. The Xbox One also has relatively small storage (500GB) for a combination of games, media, and TV recordings. Microsoft could opt to ship new Xbox One consoles with greater storage options, like the special edition 1TB version released last year, or simply support TV recordings on USB storage.
