I was really excited when it was initially announced, but after all the things I've read the past several months, I wouldn't touch it if it was free.

I was really excited when it was initially announced, but after all the things I've read the past several months, I wouldn't touch it if it was free.
Yet again, Steam allows a game that's basically in Alpha stage to be bought through their service without any mention of the shape that the game is in. REALLY disappointed in Steam right now. :smh:
Anyone have experience in Stronghold? Looks pretty interesting.
And also, can I install games to multiple computers in Steam? I just got a laptop...nothing too fancy, but say if I wanted to play Wizorb or something on it, will it allow me?
Meta isn't good on Stronghold. http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/stronghold-3
Bah. Looked like it could be fun.
I've played them all. Stronghold 3 was atrocious. Buggy as hell and just not very well programmed to begin with.
Stronghold 2 was amazing, but the AI was really bad.
Actually, apparently the Singleplayer campaign is REALLY well done. For $7.49, I'd say it's worth it, just so that you have Stronghold 2 as well.
Damn, it's $12 something for the collection that has Stronghold 2 as well as Stronghold 3 gold edition. Not sure if it's worth it for that...
Well....Steam finally pulled WarZ off of the "shelves".
From what I've read, Winter Sale starts tomorrow! :))
If so, hopefully it lasts until the end of next week.
Steam sale is live... supposedly runs through 1/6
http://store.steampowered.com/
Terraria for $6.69 and Sim City 4 Deluxe for $9.99. Hmmmmm
Also, Hitman Collection for $6.24.
Meh, nothing for me today.
Intrusion 2 looks interesting for $3. Beyond that, I'm mostly waiting on AC3 to go on sale hopefully, that and maybe Doom 3 BFG.
Yeah, I picked up Intrusion. It's kinda fun. It's annoying that guns you pick up have limited ammo but that's just a minor annoyance. I'd say it's like Contra with physics... it's not going to engage you for hours on end probably, but it appears to be a fun time waster. I'd liken it to a really well done flash game.
So for Green Man Gaming, do you have to contact your bank / creditor to let them know Green Man Gaming isn't a gambling site? Thankfully I have PayPal's Bill Me Later so I just used that.
Truthfully, I'm basically waiting for X-Com to go on a sale that I can accept ($30 for that game is just ridiculous when I can play it for free...) and, besides that, there isn't anything I absolutely want at the moment. I mean, christ, I have 93 games that I don't play right now.
You can play xcom for free?
Go here and open a support ticket explaining your problem. I did that and they fixed my problem within 5 minutes. It's a problem on their end, not your bank's.
LMAO I thought there was a free "legal" way. I thought about using the options that are available to me "stealing" to play it on PC since I already own it on 360 I like the point and click aspect of it instead of the thumb stick movement.
I really hope Bastion goes more than 50% off at some point this week.
Getting back into it today, I think I'm done with it and not purchasing it afterall. The bullshit setup of the enemies and the general silliness of encounter setups is just too much for me to stomach anymore.
New flash deals up on Steam.
DOOM 3 BFG for $14.99 *50% off* ($10.50 on Green Man Gaming)
Deus Ex Human Revolution for $4.99 *75% off*
Art Rage Studio Pro 3 for $20.39 *66% off* (art software)
Meh, already have both of them and got them for cheaper anyway. Come on, 75% off Bastion!
You can also vote for Miasmata, Forge, or Waking Mars to be 50% off. Pretty sure all 3 of them are greenlit games.
Well, Civ 5 Gods and Kings Expansion is 50% off and the upgrade to the Game of the Year edition is 50% off as well so looks like I'm spending ~$30 next Friday to buy those.
Played some Doom 3 last night for the first time as I got the BFG edition. There are definitely some shit your pants moments :D
I can't believe I'm witnessing DLC for a free to play game as one of the current flash deals. Hopefully these new daily deals coming up in about 7 minutes are a little better.
By the way, never played the Half-Life series. How many of them are they? I was looking at the bundles last night and it just confused me. Which ones are essential?
I bought Sim City 4 for $9.99 yesterday because it was 50% off. Today it's 75% off at $4.99 :fp:
It's scary as hell (play with headphones and no lights), but, unlike Doom and Doom 2, doesn't hold up after you know where all the scares are. I'm holding out hope that Doom 4 is more like Doom 2 and it's more open instead of so claustrophobic like Doom and Doom 3 are. Doom 3 was great when I first played it, but Doom 2 is a classic that I still occasionally go back and play on the second to highest difficulty (Ultra Violence) and it manages to still scare the living hell out of me.
