Add Sony Online Entertainment to the hacked list.

Yea went online to check the DCUO forums and read the notice. To quote Jules Winfield: "This is some f#cked up, repugnant sh#t!"
I'm considering jumping ship. This is getting ridiculous.
Supposedly the Japanese PSN is already back up and the US/EU gets it back tomorrow.
#1 thing to do, change password :D

During the marathon late-night press conference this weekend, Sony cleared up plans for the reactivation of PSN and the nature of the attack that led to its being taken down. What it didn't clear up was the status of users' credit cards.
Responding to rumors that credit card numbers were offered for sale on forums -- and even presented to Sony in an attempt to get the company to buy it back -- SCEA PR director Patrick Seybold said that "to my knowledge there is no truth to this report of a list, or that Sony was offered an opportunity to purchase the list." It's not quite a categorical denial of credit card information being leaked -- but at least it's confirmation that nobody's trying to extort Sony with it.
Seybold reiterated what Kaz Hirai said Sunday morning: that nobody from Sony will contact you seeking any ID. Should someone do so, they are up to something nefarious.
So... any clue when/if PSN will be back up tomorrow?
The last I heard it goes up for everyone else tomorrow at some point. However, I haven't seen Sony come out and out right say that. They said within a week last Wednesday, though, so I would assume so.
Probably around the same time the usual PSN update goes up? Round 5 or 6 central?
That might explain what I was seeing this morning. I was seeing news reports that the PSN was up, though the Store won't be back for a little longer. Fast forward to when I finally come home tonight, and PSN is still down and all of those news articles have disappeared.
I figured the store would be the last to be up and for right now just basic online functionality.
It will be interesting to see what type of hit paid services on the PSN network will take following resumption of services. I have no interest in seeing any of my credit info go towards the service... paid point cards only.
One thing that IGN brought up is the fact that those who don't have PS+ and are getting a month free....what happens when that month is up? Currently you lose what you got from PS+....due to this catastrophe, are they going to change that stance, and allow you to own it for life?
I was wondering this as well JB, I mean I'm not a member but will probably download some stuff for sure. It would be cool if you could keep it for life so to speak, but this would really surprise me big time if they did this. Great question though. This is your task today, find us an answer on that question.
I can give you the answer right now... you're not going to be able to keep anything that was free once PSN+ runs out.
Sony has told GamesIndustry.biz that 900 of the 12,700 credit/debit cards stolen were still active; the rest were expired. It's fortunate that the database was an older one so the majority of cards are now outdated. Still, that's 900 people who are at risk and many more wondering if they are among those 900.
WTF PSN still isn't up and running and I saw an article today that said it might not be back up until Friday?
I'm SO glad I got rid of that shit when I did. I'd be SUPER pissed right now if I hadn't.
I've gotten like 2 debt collection agencies calling me since all of this happened.
One of which is trying to collect on toll roads in Dallas, Texas and calls me a liar when I tell them I'm not that person and have never even been to Dallas. Laugh. I hope they call me some more so I can bitch them out and hit them for harassment.

These hackers must DIE! That is all.
It hasn't really bothered me that much, I'm looking forward to the return so I can battle NCAA 11 and TGA but I'm having fun building up my golfer and also getting games in with NHL too.

So the plot thickens....
This is getting to be fucking stupid. I was going to buy Motorstorm: Apocalypse today, but nope.
Maybe they should give us all credit towards Xboxes.
Yeah, I'm downloading the update right now for KZ3. I'm not sure whether or not I was able to do that before, but it is downloading. Still can't sign on, so meh.
Yeah apparently title updates have nothing to do with PSN as I was able to update The Show way back when the update dropped and PSN was in no sight of coming alive.
I really can't believe how upset people are by this. It's like a bunch of 2-year-olds having a tantrum when you take their toy away. People need to grow up.

It's ok to be upset that your CC and personal information may have been stolen. It's ok to expect fair compensation for money or services that have been lost. But for adults to be throwing a fit that they can't play is fucking lame. It's also repulsive to hear how impatient people are. I, for one, don't want the PSN back until it is ready. I can wait.
It's the principle of it. I paid $300(for the 4th time) for a system that clearly says on the box "free access to the Playstation Network." I have not had that access for two weeks now. I can live with that. I have both systems and as you said, it's just a game. HOWEVER, it's the bullshit runaround that is what is pissing everyone off - myself included. When you say "within a week," it had better happen within that 7 days. It has not. It surpassed that 7 days yesterday and Sony doesn't say a single word about it.
SOCOM 4 just released. Portal 2 just released. Mortal Kombat just released. Motorstorm Apocalypse just released. Brink is releasing in a week. L.A. Noire the week after that. People simply want to know a DATE as to when it's going to be back up.
I'm personally pissed off because I got a team together for the $40,000 KZ3 tournament and haven't gotten a single practice session in because Sony is too busy running around with their hands up their asses. Like I said, it's the principle of paying this much for a system and games(and in my case, the yearly service fee for Plus) and then being completely left in the dark.
