Nothin' they do to ultimate team will make me want to play it... Nothing. :D
Nah, that's just the majority. This is the larger majority. :D

Not where I live.
Damn, this thread is FULL of :ram?: today. :fp:
I'm using Tapatalk 2 and the Cleveland Browns STILL suck.
Random question...when does the season ticket version become available? Friday July 5th or the 6th?
Typed by thumbs.
:P there ya go again.
I don't waste money on it but I kind of like the fantasy concept it has.
but even sports video games need more than one mode to keep people entertained.
And I still say they are missing a great idea by not putting Mascot mash up into head to head online matches
Yeah sorry to MadSci for the inadvertent shot  That wasn't my intention at all! I realize he's put in the time and such to be at the event and his efforts to upload video's and the like are GREATLY APPRECIATED by both myself and obviously the entire community. So let me rephrase; Makes me wonder why, while being a gamechanger, and knowing about the cheese that irritates people and talking about "real football" all the time on his forums and such... WHY, he plays a little cheese-ball? :D I would think that with all the time talking about issues like 4 verts and such would help him avoid it in a community play video, as opposed to going to money plays all day from 13 (like a spread counter on the goal line??? Really? Let us see the interaction with the force impact collision stuff there). I don't even know if there was an out-route or drag thrown and they were something I was looking for. I don't mind that he plays the way he plays because that's up to him, but I would think that he'd want to try every route at least once, a few different runs, screens, see if the slide actually works this season for the scrambling qb, etc. Goes to all the trouble to find teams that everybody wants and then doesn't do as much as he could with it I guess is my issue. But again, the efforts to be there for the community to get footage and not just be there for himself is truly selfless and I think we all appreciate that.
Far as the gameplay team goes, the fact that year after year we DO have players showing the weaknesses of something like a 4-Verts on these gamechanger vids and they STILL aren't fixed has me going :bang:. I simply don't understand how you can allow your game to continuously give up the most used play ever and say that you want to get rid of the Cheese . Nope, it's going to be tough to get me to believe that you really care about getting rid of that stuff while telling us that you have to strike a balance with the "casual gamer". Don't give me that! The "casual gamer" is only casual because you allow him/her to be! If you made football like football I guarantee you the "casual gamer" would catch on and play it just like they do now. Football is the most fun sport of all (or at least in most people's minds), which is exactly why it is America's most loved sport! Make the game of football the way hardcore footballers need, then tune out some of the more "hardcore" features like penalties and such and call it "casual" mode, instead of worrying about things like Season Showdown and the like.
I'm sick of the excuse that it has to cater to the "casual" fan. It's just a shot at the intelligence of gamers that play the game for a month and then move on. Maybe if you made it challenging and made the game play like real football more people would WANT to play it year round. I'll say it again, look at the FPS players all over the age map and how quickly they process things in their games and all they want is more realistic, faster and less clunky. Your average "casual" gamers are like monsters when challenged to play the "real" game of whatever it is they are playing. Just because the kids don't come on the message boards doesn't mean they aren't into a real game of football that caters to hardcore football fans. I'm still not sure I've actually met a casual football fan in real life that wasn't a girl. For them, there's still mascot mode... yes?
Really? Don't think a sock fetish is what we should worry about :D

any information provided as to how the cpu handles late game situations, ex: playcalling and use of timeouts?
I tweeted Steve, asking if he had more fun with NCAA 14 or Madden 25 and he said NCAA for the first time in awhile. He preferred the option and the co-ordinator cam.
@rudyjuly2 For the first time in a while, NCAA. Just love the option.
— Steve Noah (@Steve_OS) June 17, 2013@KennyMack32 @rudyjuly2 Well, I played it a lot more than Madden, simply because of the option and camera angle.

I mentioned this in the first post that it was a possibility, except he found that it did work most of the time and then went back to it when he needed a first down. Also, he never threw to the outside receiver, he always found the inside guy who was generally WIDE open and threw it immediately. Regardless, I'm more upset that EA allows it to still happen, because they say every year "Oh yeah we want to stop the cheese", yet they never address the one play that gets abused in every cheesy game imaginable. Just like, "Oh yeah you'll be real happy with equipment this year", but then they don't give us the facemask that literally EVERYBODY has been requesting since the end of last season. Really clutch EA. :deadhorse:
More videos from MadScientist, this time Akron at Maryland with a video with NCAA Dev Christian McLeod.

The facemask itself not being in doesn't bother me but it is bad form that it has been requested for several years and is considered one of the more popular facemasks in the game. All the while, other facemasks have been added instead. Unfortunately, there are quite a few examples similar to this from Gameplay to Dynasty to Presentation to Equipment... mostly minor things but still things that a sect of fans really want.
NICE!
Check out this punt by the CPU @ 5:10 of Q2 of the Akron video. I REALLY hope the CPU can do this more regularly than they did in '13. This is pretty much a perfect punt.
Spoiler: show
For anyone concerned with CPU playcalling in late game situations, check out the 4th quarter of the Akron at Maryland videos... Akron is the CPU and comes back from down 15 in the 4th to tie it. The playcalling and execution is on par with many human players.
Traditions Sports: Fastest Players in NCAA Football 14
The thing I love about the coordinator cam is that it's an "all 22" cam so that I can see all of my receivers, unlike in '13. @ 3:56 of Q3 of the Akron game, the CPU is on the left hash and has trips right. You can't see the outside WR at the start of the play. He runs a streak and from the snap of the ball until the QB throws him the ball, he's never on the screen.
While I've been dying for an "all 22" cam, it looks like in some situations, coordinator cam still isn't it.
I think Wide is the closest thing to an All 22 cam, though that is from a low perspective so that has it's own challenges. Will be interesting to try them all out.
He runs the coolest looking option play I've ever seen (the Shovel pass option), but never does the shovel pass portion of it even though Akron went directly for him twice. :(
