Guys, it's the right propaganda thread. The whole thread is essentially Fox News. I don't understand why y'all get so heated. Everything posted by right-wingers is going to heavily slant towards the right. You gotta just accept it for what it is. And even if you disagree, you can disagree civily.
No, what's sad is this thread. To believe that in the small sample size of the US that is the membership of this forum, we would have so many ultra-conservatives is just disheartening. Maybe you people are less of a minority than originally thought. Talk about scary.
LMAO if I EVER need a good laugh I KNOW that this thread is a gimme.
Oh and Romney is now TIED with The One in MICHIGAN!
http://www.myfoxdetroit.com/story/19...y-in-dead-heat
And that was BEFORE Detroit News' endorsement of......... Romney!
http://www.detroitnews.com/article/2...mney-President
They get so.... heated b/c they cannot stand when their view that only 1% of the population believes in a conservative world view/philosophy. Of course if they were rational, they would look at election results and see that roughly 50% of the country does. But they believe hook, line and sinker everything their lord and savior Mmmh Mmmh Mmmh tells them. It's sad but a telling sign that soo...... many are completely dependent upon the government to survive and even incapable of logical/coherent thought w/o the government telling them what to think/say.
Have your son get caught and take the fall for attempting felonies so your political career as a Democrat can survive.

I have an honest question.
If your views are so highly regarded and concrete like you state they are then why in the world is the USA so messed up and in the mess it currently is in?
I know you want to say because of our current President but to which I would then ask how in the world did he get voted in to Presidency when everything was going so "right" before?
The correct answer is because no one side should ever have power for to long because without a little balance everything would become unbalanced and unfair which is why you see power shifts within the Government. There are many good things from both sides of the aisle that get shoot down because of voting with your side that you can't in good conscience say either side has anyone's but their owns agenda first. And their in lays the issue with the great United States of America.
In OHIO Biden talks about all of the ads being run "here in IOWA". What a FUCKING MORON!

I assume the ? is directed at me so I will answer.
Conservative policy/ideas are 0% responsible for the current economic crisis mess we are in.
#1 The most recent "great recession" was caused by the housing market crash? -- YES
#2 The housing market crashed because banks were forced/"strongly encouraged" beginning in the CLINTON (liberal/democrat) presidency to lessen loan standards to the point where anyone with a pulse could get a home loan -- YES
#3 Clinton/Liberals wanted #2 b/c Banks/loan standards are "racist" and EVERYONE (regardless of whether they can afford it) has a RIGHT to a home. -- YES
#1-3 shows that Liberal ideas CAUSED the Recession (if you want to blame Bush/conservatives for not stopping/reversing #1-3 a strong argument can be made for that but to say Bush "caused" it simply isn't true)
#4 since the recession (which as shown above was caused by liberals) Obama has increased our deficit to the tune of > $1,000,000,000,000 each year -- YES
#5 IF elected to a 2nd term Obama will continue > $1,000,000,000,000 deficit spending each year bringing our debt level to the level of or > than Greece -- YES
#6 IF the deficit isn't controlled we will see the same deficit crisis that is currently going on in Europe -- YES
In sum, LIBERAL ideas may be well intentioned but they ALWAYS HAVE "unintended" and easily foreseeable consequences. But if you want to become Greece/Spain/Italy/etc.... which is eventually going to end in a default on debt and a DEPRESSION that will likely be greater than the Great Depression go to the ballot box and vote Democrat.
To say the Republicans have ZERO blame is the must ridiculous statement on all 23 pages of this thread :D
But of course to a Republican, it's god's will when a woman gets pregnant from rape...so those two must go hand in hand.
I wasn't directing this at anyone but rather the thread.
So all of our problems started with Bill skipped Bush and is finishing with Barack?
I have to believe it goes back further and involves both sides.
Can't be certain and may be wrong...but didn't we spend quite a bit of money funding a war that I still to this day don't know what good it resulted in?
Not sure how many weapons we found. We did kill a man who by the former President's own words "tried to kill his dad".
Last I heard it was an unfathomable amount of money being spent a month on it. Not sure if that set us back a few trillion or not.
I notice you resort to sarcasm and completely changing the subject when you have nothing intelligent to bring to the table and are obviously not capable of refuting ANY of the points above. Classic liberal divert tactic. Well played sir. Well played.
#1 I assumed your question referred to the most recent recession/the economy so I limited the post to the direct/proximate cause of the recession and our current economy. The country obviously has other issues/problems.
Do you disagree that the last recession current economy problems were started by the housing crisis? Do you disagree that Liberal policy supported the concept of lessening loan standards for home loans?
#2 No as I CLEARLY said above "if you want to blame Bush/conservatives for not stopping/reversing (the idiotic liberal housing policy that led to the recession) a strong argument can be made for that ...."
In sum, Liberal ideas/policy caused the problem and if you want to blame Conservatives blame them for not stopping liberal policy or blame them for not being REAL conservatives if they supported said liberal ideas/policy.
I'm all ears for any other cause of the recession other than anything directly/indirectly associated with the housing bubble and thus the liberal idea to lessen credit standards so that everyone could own a home regardless of whether they could afford one. The banking/insurance sector made STUPID moves associated with the lessening lending standards and sold crappy products to investors who wanted in on these "sure bets".
You take away the housing bubble/bust and most if not all of the economic problems in the private sector are gone.
Interestingly, Clinton largely benefited the MOST from two false bubbles during his presidency: (1) .com bubble (2) fake housing boom
Take away those two false beliefs at the time and the Clinton "boom" economy largely goes away.
You know how to really prove that neither side has a fuckin' clue about anything? Ask them how to fix a recession. Neither side knows how to ACTUALLY fix it. Time is the only REAL answer you can get out of either of them. Otherwise, no one knows. Economists with Masters degrees in the subject don't know how to fix it or have DRASTICALLY different ideas on how to fix it (neither of which have solid PROOF that it's how you fix the economy).
This country is just one giant bullshitting contest that's hanging by a fishing line over of a cliff and neither side knows how to stop the contest long enough to reel the country back from the ledge. It's disgusting when you think of how both sides actually used to work together to actually DO something.
Here your telling us that the government has no place on regulating or making decisions for people and those that want it are not up to your standard.........then
Then here when the Government allows people to decide to make their own decisions of whether they can afford a 250K home on a 45K salary which most common sense people know isn't a good decision fails squarely on the hands of the Government for allowing this to happen.
So I ask which is it? Or would you like to have it both ways?
And to be clear I don't want the Government involved in my shit, but I posted that to show you that your saying things both ways to fit your argument.
I LONG ago gave up explaining to you logic/facts/reason. I'm NOT surprised that you cannot grasp the concept of more revenue coming into the Government due to BUBBLES (i.e. fake economic growth that will eventually pop) during Clinton's presidency which popped at the beginning (.com) and end (housing) of Bush's presidency.
The reason is simple as my initial post stated Government forced/"strongly encouraged" the Banks/private sector during the Clinton Administration to make these loans and the banks were happy to do so b/c those loans were backed by the Federal Government.
Government has ZERO business in the housing market and had it been out of the market NO reasonable bank would have made those loans to people with no/limited means and the slim minority (if any) of banks that did would have gone bust faster and thus limited the loss to the economy at large.
During the Clinton Administration, Government DEMANDED that banks satisfied racial quotas (banks according to liberals hate minorities and didn't want to profit off of them by providing them with home loans) for mortgage lending to prove they were not discriminating on the basis of race. This FORCED banks to lower their standards for lending to meet these new quotas. The ball rolls downhill from there.
I simply doubt Obama gets a second shot
After mending our issues between myself and bdoughty, at his suggestion, I'm making this last post and visit to this thread (I promise this time :D) to post my apologies after blowing my top last night.
The two posts I made last night, my apologies if it offended anyone or changed your opinions of me. I was not being serious in saying that. I'm so damn tired and agitated already from all the election bullshit, between ads in every other commercial, flyers in the mail every day, people knocking on the door every damn day. It sucks ass living in a battleground state and it's getting old.
Last night I got my buttons pushed and I blew. Plain and simple. I wasn't serious in those two posts, I was just plain venting and went overboard. I went Mount St. Helen last night, and without even considering what I was typing or if I even wanted to truly say it/post it, I typed it and hit reply. So no, I don't want anyone to get fucked over. It was just me blowing off all of my built up steam at once.
Besides, honestly, we're all fucked regardless of who wins. It's Congress fucking this country and they're all still gonna be there, regardless of who is President. So regardless of whether it's Obama or Romney, we're unfortunately all getting bent over during the next four years.
I am not against Republicans. I vote for Republicans on the local and state level every election, and while I did not vote for McCain in 2008, I went to see him when he had a rally here in my town that year and back then and still today, I respect him. So I am not all "Republicans are the devil!!!11!". I just feel Romney is not a good choice for this country, just as you guys feel four more years of Obama is not a good choice.
So my apologies for those two "over the cliff" posts and I was not serious in anything I said in them. I was just blowing off all my steam at once and went way too far. Hopefully there are no hard feelings or indifferences between me and anyone else.
Have a good one guys.
Smooth.
The Republicans are testing that with, quite possibly, the most idiotic and asinine candidate EVER (yes, even worse than Bush Jr). The dude can't go one appearance without flatout lying about what he plans to do or, at the very least, flipflopping on his previous stance.
