Of course offense scores points and all that but you can't tell me the Ravens or Bucs for that matter would have won the title predominantly with their offenses. Their defenses only needed the offense to score a few FG's and that's it. The Ravens offense was abysmal other than their run game which ranked 5th..passing 23rd. If it was mostly because of offense again the Pats and Vikings would all be SB champs those record setting years without a problem. Which is why in the end you need defense. If everyone kept scoring at some point you will need a stop which is why defenses win championships.Quote:

Virtually every year, the majority of the playoff teams rank in the top 12 defensively. Offense is all over the place.
Houston has had a top 5 offense for years, but couldn't sniff the playoffs until this year (they're now #1 on total defense).

I thought it was funny yesterday that a commentator said part of the reason he is inaccurate at times is because he doesn't want to throw an interception. That was after he missed an Out route by 10 yards.
