Ready to go already, is it bowls after you advance tonight?
Yeah it's conference championship time. Northwestern is ready to advance as well.
Im done until bowls
Two games....Romo vs. Chase for the SEC title, and myself vs. Solidice for the ACC title. Four days out is Saturday night but I have to DJ so the deadline will be extended until Sunday afternoon. Unless of course both games are in.
Solidice & I will get our ACC Championship part deux tomorrow night.
apparently our 2 games last season were so great that the game decided that we should never play each other ever again. :(
Edit: Scratch that, it amazingly decided to let us play after nearly 2 hours of trying different things.
Maryland finally overcomes the monkey on their back and get a win vs. Miami. a 28-14 victory, an ACC championship, and a BCS Bowl for the Terps.
Maryland jumped out to 21-0 lead mid-way into the 2nd quarter, the 3rd TD coming after a Miami Int. Miami would score a TD just before the half to cut it to 21-7. then the defenses came to play, and they didn't disappoint. no one scored in the 3rd quarter. Miami would score on their first drive in the 4th quarter on a 4th down play after a good long drive to close it to 21-14. It was looking like it could be another one of those Miami-Maryland OT games, but Maryland Defense would hold on a 4th down attempt on Miami's next drive. Maryland would add their last score on a 67 yard screen pass to Torrey Smith to make it 28-14. Miami's QB Ray Smith would throw his 2nd Int of the game and Maryland would run out the clock.
another GG JB.
Player of the game honor would go to Maryland's QB Jamarr Robinson. 13-15 190 yards 3 TDs. a very good way to go out on his Senior season. Senior WR Torrey Smith had a great game as well, 4 catches 91 yards and 2 TDs.
Maryland held Miami's offense to -3 rushing yards, though it was mostly because of sacks and that Miami was in passing mode the majority of the game(49 pass attempts). The 2 Ints for Miami would end up being the big difference, Maryland did not turn the ball over once.
Maryland is looking at a 10 game win streak going into the Bowl games.
We have advanced to Bowl Week. One user game, HawkFan vs. Romo ... so deadline is Thurs. Just a reminder, for offseason stuff, the deadline will be 24 hours.
I started the Orange Bowl against Texas, but it froze before getting into the game. not sure if it'll show I restarted or not. I was able to get into the game the 2nd try.
Maryland finishes their 12-2 dream season with an Orange Bowl victory over Texas 27-21.
Jamaar Robinson was named player of the game, going 12/17 176 yards 2 TDs. Davin Meggett had 17 carries 113 yards 1 TD. Torrey Smith 6 catches for 69 yards 1 TD, Ronnie Tyler 4 catches 81 yards 1 TD.
Davin Meggett finish his senior season with a 1,608 yard 18 TD season(2,304 yards, 23 TD in career). Torrey Smith lead the WRs with 71 catches 924 yards 8 TDs(1,806 yards 15 TD in career). DE Derek Drummond will end his career with 40 QB sacks in 2 seasons. Jamaar Robinson will finish with 4,973 passing yards 34 TDs 18 Ints in his career.
After choking in their last regular season game, UM dominates Oregon in the Rose Bowl, 49-13. The Ducks tacked on their only TD of the game late in the 4th quarter after being swarmed under by UM's new defensive look all game.
Denard Robinson passed for 233+ yards and rushed for 101 yards, while young RB Fitz Toussaint added 101 yards on the ground. Roy Roundtree caught 3 passes, all resulting in TDs, for the Wolverines. The Wolverine defense collected 2 sacks during the game as well as a fumble return for a TD.
The Wolverines finished with 261 team rushing yards and no turnovers, while holding LaMichael James to just 30 rushing yards.
Michigan finishes with 1 loss on the season.
Northwestern ends their season on a high note beating a team that defeated them in week one of the regular season 34-24 in the Capital One Bowl. Defense was the name of the game for the Wildcats as they were able to scoop two fumbles and return them for touchdowns and then in the second half get their offense going as they pulled away late in the fourth quarter.
Northwestern finishes the season with an 11-2 record and a probable top 10 ranking.
All teams have played and we are ready to advance.
I'll advance when I get home from work tonight. 24 hour strict deadlines for the rest of the offseason will start with tonight's advancement.
Awesome. Can not wait to get next season going.
FYI Romo was fired from Alabama.
Subsequently, Arkansas was quick to hire him. He will take over during the post-season recruiting period.
Fun first year, you guys have a good group together. Really appreciate you guys letting me join. Looking forward to next season
I'm going to aim to advance at 5PM or 6PM central every night during the offseason. Of course if someone notices their last and are done, feel free to post.
Advanced to Players Leaving....deadline between 5 and 6 central tomorrow.
one of my MLB wanted to go pro, but I got him to stay with 40 minutes. his family thought it'll be best to stay for his senior year.
Losing 13 seniors, but only two JRs wanted to go pro and convinced them both to stay.
Lost 21 seniors and my starting tailback wanted to leave but I convinced him to stay with 2 hours of talking.
Kentucky Rebuilding Process Set Back by Surprise Departure
saidaidha. So out of no where my starting QB (Morgan Newton) decided to go pro. Spent an hour on him and it was over. Can't emphasize this loss enough, anyone who played me this year understands (ability to turn a sack into a first down, extending the play, opening up the whole multiple playbook). With no clear-cut successor, training camp now becomes the key to my off-season.
Just in shock because even though he was a big playmaker in my offense, he didn't really have that great of a year (too many numbers went to Cobb). No awards, no-show on the SEC-teams at the end of the year. He's an 83 overall. He was going to be the foundation of next years offense. UGH
EDIT: think I forgot to set ready to advance, but I'm good
I was able to talk the 99 OVR DT Fortson to stay at Miami, but some 80 OVR CB wouldn't listen to me, thankfully he didn't beat around the bush and said he's leaving after my first 60 mins of trying.
Had two mid-80s rated players wanting to go early, a LB and my starting RB David Wilson. I just sunk 60 minutes into each and both will be returning. Wilson started the season #2 on the depth chart, but just made more plays when he was in and earned the starting job over the course of the season. The previous starter is now the back-up and is good enough (rated about equal with Wilson) to gash a defense when he comes in rested during the course of a game.
My bad....I fell asleep before dart league, so I didn't get it advanced.
week 1 recruiting done.
I will advance when I get home....5:30/6:00 ish
I guess I went a little too conservative with recruiting (underestimated a 2star caliber in the SEC). already got my 25 commits. ill try to set ready to advance every wk, but if not dont wait on me
Northwestern week 2 recruiting done.
I'm still outside the top 25 in recruiting ranks, but I am a 5* school now.
4 4*, 10 3*, and 2 1* (FB and K)
I may get 1 more 4* player. my week 2 is done.
The EA servers were down this morning. I'll be gone most of the afternoon and evening, but I'll try again this morning. If they are still down then, we may need to extend the deadline a few hours to make up for lost time with EA servers down.
EDIT - And now they are back up. Recruiting finished for this week.
Northwestern recruiting done.
the dynasty wire servers are down once again.
I know it's only Buffalo, but I managed to take away 322 points in 1 call with a 3* WR. probably wont be enough for me to get him, although it'll probably mean that WR will go to Rice instead of Buffalo. lol
