This is my first shooter so I started off really bad, my k/d was .27 (lower the first couple of weeks) but I have improved that to .39. It is a slow process though because I really like the game and play a ton.

I'm also like JB, there is no messing around. We have a goal and we go for it each and every time! I really have a blast when we are all on. We conference call each other so that we don't have to deal with the crappy reception on PS3. It works great so if you add us and join in with us try and get a headset so that we can all work together :nod:

Oh, definitely. I can be in a group of 6 teammates who stumble on 1 enemy and I will be the first to pass away.

If it's snoop, JB, and I who find someone, it usually plays out like this:

1. :sf: shoots a wall, a box, or the ground, then passes away.

2. snoop empties a clip into the enemy and passes away.

3. JB gets the kill, finds 4 more enemies and kills 3, then passes away.

4. snoop gets a 97 kill assist for the original enemy.

Finally finished the assignment with the SOFLAM (laser targeting). Jesus Christ, I'm glad that I am finally done with that. That's the most worthless thing in this game. Everytime I'd try to use it, I'd get shot up, and it would take FOREVER to lock onto a tank, and on top of that a tank knows when you start to lock onto it. Just ask Snoop, I went all Tourette's trying to get five designations with that piece of shit. Just did it to finish my assignment and unlock one of the new snipers in the Back To Karkland pack.

Hey D, I've got one user game in Powerhouse OD but then I'm game for B3 tonight

Well I knew it was a matter of time before the cheese came along, apparently it is the USAS-12 with frag rounds. It has crazy distance, and while it also has distance it has sniper rifle style supression. It is just crazy unfortuanly I don't think they will do anything about it as the auto shooty was overpowered in BC2 and they never fixed it and even on their forums people are saying leave it alone, apparently they havent been in a room yet where most people are using it.

I haven't used a shotgun yet in BF3, but in my experience any auto shotty was overpowered.

An auto shotty in real life can prob. Fudge some shiz up too.

It absolutely would but this isn't real life and also an auto shot can't shoot further than an assault rifle.

I would post some youtube videos but I am at work. So just youtube it and you will see how far off that gun can shoot, with the frag rounds in the game. Its not gun its the attachment of frag rounds that makes it crazy.

Lol have they canned that saying yet? This has almost gotten to the point of game killer because on certain maps it make them unplayable which is about over half the maps available.

Guess I will do my second playthrough of SR3.

I think they have, but I don't know why...it fits their games so well. I stopped playing a few weeks ago, and like a few people on my friend's list, I'm not playing again until the shit is patched. There's absolutely no excuse for me getting killed from long distances by a stupid shotgun. I'd expect shit like that in Modern Warfare 3, not something made by Dice.

Honestly, I don't come across the USAS12 much.

Especially what that video shows.

...and I've played at least 200 matches so far. Snoop has played even more.

You shouldn't come across that AT ALL. That's beyond ridiculous. There's another video showing a dude shooting at someone from a good 200 feet away, across a river from one hill to the other. I quit playing about three weeks ago and I was seeing it every other game or so. From what I've heard, that's when people first started finding out about it, so I can imagine it's only that much more prevalent now, especially since it's even on Youtube for everyone to see.

Besides, as mors said, it doesn't matter if it only happens once every 50 games, that's one time too many. To have something that overpowered in a game is inexcusable. As I said, I was getting picked off halfway across the map. From a shotgun. A shotgun. That's just unacceptable. It's not even like it's the only thing wrong with the game. Between the spawn system, several overpowered weapons, the voice chat on PS3, and the glitches that STILL exist from the beta, this game is a mess. I'm just hopeful they can fix it before I lose interest. I played the shit out of Bad Company 2 and loved it and I've been nothing but disappointed so far with BF3.

The shotguns + frag rounds have just about made it their for me, some of the glitches are irritating but not necessarily game killers. I can't think of any other gun that is so overpowered that I don't want to play the game.

The thing is you really won't see it that much until one idiot comes into a room which is just about every other match and then it totally fucks up the room, but anytime you go to Seine Crossing( which was one the best maps on the game), Operation Metro ( never liked it anyway), Grand Bazar (also a pretty good map), or any of the B2K maps these things start flying out and the room just became unplayable. It pretty makes everyone either use the shogun or snipe.

I have played noticeably more matches than 200 and I really have just started seeing this on a consistent basis about 2 weeks ago but this past week has been worse.

I have seen it a few times but nothing that would push me away from this game. It would be hard pressed for to many people to have logged the amount of time I've spent in my really first shooter game. I play the hell out of this game and enjoy it each and every time.

I noticed that once I unlocked the shotgun M1O1 I think it is, that I was able to really destroy some people (this coming from someone with a .44 k/d) and quickly got away from it. I now use the FAMAS but it is way overpowered as well.

Just got done doing 4 hours of BF3 with Snoop. psuexv and cdj were in for a bit as well....only ran into the USAS12 once, and it was some idiot that didn't understand the concept of Rush :D he was sitting on a roof (like he probably saw on YouTube) and was trying to shoot, but little did he know we took out both initial MCOMs ... I ended up grabbing 4 or 5 in that round, and we breezed through Strike at Karkand in about 9 minutes.

I think Rush is the key to not seeing so much of the shotgun. TDM is full of K-D R-ers. Mountain Dew Code Red motherfuckers.

I know when we played a couple hours Thursday night, we only really ran into the one shotgun fucker, and we best his team down too.

I didn't know people even played Rush. Rush is such a horrible game mode I just assumed people playing BF3 were doing so in Conquest or Team Deathmatch. But yes, I'd find most any shotgun to be completely worthless on Rush, simply because long range weapons are going to be so much more effective. If you want a dosage of the shotgun bullshit, load up a few games of Conquest or Team Deathmatch.
