i have it. Crushing was tough but not undoable. It is alot easier than CoD WaW.
World at War on Veteran...LOL. That was the most frustration I have ever felt in my life. But yes, neither Uncharted games are too hard on Crushing, only slightly harder than Hard mode. There's a couple parts in the first one that are a little hard, but you'll get past. U2 on Crushing is a breeze until you get to the final boss battle.
LOL god the final boss battle in UC1 on either hard or normal (cant remember which i did now) took me no telling how many lives/hours to finally beat that SOB. The final boss fight in UC1 was MUCH easier (i think I died 2 times before I figured out the shooting pattern)
Good article for the Trophy Whores to read: IGN's Most Memorable Achievements and Trophies
You mean the level where you start out in this huge grassy area and there's a guy with a flamethrower? Then you have to work your way up that hill with that fucking invisible sniper? Yeah, that entire level was complete and utter horseshit for sure.
Well World at War on Veteran and Killzone 2 on Elite, step aside, as I have FINALLY just beaten something I've been trying to do for ages. Call of Duty 4. Complete Mile High Club on Veteran difficulty.
I must have tried this thing at least 200 times and have been within milliseconds multiple times. I was finally able to get to the hostage tonight, and I was so shaky that I almost missed and killed the hostage, which would have made me do it over again. Alas, I hit the bastard in the head, jumped out of the plane, and got my achievement.
Easily and by far the hardest shit I've ever done on a game. I swear the reason I haven't been able to get it is one of the reasons I hate on Call of Duty so much, but now that I've done it...nah, it still sucks. :D
Almost that time again.
Beatn slacking again :D
It's coming sometime today.
I'm anxious to see if EVERYONE COMBINED beat Violator this month. I did pretty well (for me anyways) of trophy whoring. FYI my trophy count from a few pages back is off from my current count 400. Of course, some of those are from the past two days of my playing Heavy Rain. I am DEFINITELY going for the platinum in that game. I cannot remember having that much fun playing through a game.
I nearly had a 100 trophy month.
The Trophy Whore Leaderboard for February 2011!
Trophy Whore of the Month!
JBHuskers! He gained the most with 83 trophies and no platinums, followed by clw with 81 trophies and no platinums, rounded out by cdj with 75 trophies and no platinums. I had the most platinums for the month, so :P:P:P:P:P.
Also, V finished 6th out of everyone for the month, so I fully expect that today will be the last day of Earth's existence. It was nice knowing you all!
Too bad I wasn't on the last list. I racked up on Assassin's Creed II and EA Sports Active Trophies in January.
Damn had I known I could have been Whore of the Month, I would have tried to whore out some more Heavy Rain trophies yesterday.
EDIT: Also why am I still 10th on the totem poll shouldn't I have moved up to 9th place?
told ya i wouldnt do much this month with moving and all.
Well, it was very nice of you letting someone else win for the first time in about 12 months. :D
its only because i had to move, no other reason. it wont happen again. ohh wait it might happen this month too since were still getting everything set up and ready. heck i may have about 10 hours of playing since moving.
As long as you're good to go for SOCOM 4, right?
I'm still bringing up the rear :D
although I know I earned a trophy or two. I haven't synced in a while maybe thats it :P
As Ron Simmons would say, DAMN! Now I am really kicking myself for not focussing a little harder and playing just a little longer to take home the prestigous Trophy Whore of the Month award. Thankfully, it appears I have one last chance for glory. I will redouble my whoring efforts and do everything in my power to be the Whore of February (which ironically is my birth month)
I had him added. I didn't read his original post until like a week ago, so I just waited to add him to the list for this month.
By the way, I'm going to be doing a "Trophy Whore of the Month Not Named V" next month, so since V is probably a shoe in for actual Whore of the Month, I'll be showing some love to the smaller whores. :)
yeah, honestly i dont need the WotM every month. give it to those more deserving, we all know im a whore
I only got 2 trophies this month? Weird. :: shrug ::
On another note, remember when I said that trophies auto sync? That's either only certain types of trophies ... or maybe trophies for games that you've already played? Either way, I had six more trophies today when I sync'd that I didn't have in IOU's list, in Mass Effect 2 and After Burner Climax. The ABC trophies were just a few hours after the Road to Glory trophies that showed up in my profile in IOU's update, and 14 days before my most recent NCAA trophies, which were both in his update.
The hell.
I'm literally about to pull my hair out. I'm one friggin' trophy (Kamikaze) away from the Heavy Rain Platinum. I've tried now for two hours and EVERY friggin' time one of my moves doesn't register in time. Any suggestions?
It's the drive the wrong way on the interstate "trial" that the Origami Killer gives Ethan. Usually the tilt right/left fails on me when trying to avoid the construction workers OR I get all the way to the end and it doesn't register and I hit one of the cop cars.
ahh yeah that one got me a few times too. it seems on those it doesnt register the moves. all i can say is keep trying. i know its a pain in the ass because you get mad because you KNOW your doing what it asks but it doesnt register it
I did it the first time both times I played through (shrugs).
Apparently all I needed to do was come home to the friendly confines of HDMI and make ABSOLUTELY SURE I kept the controller to where the PS button was facing directly at my chest. Popped the game in and one try boom perfection everything registers and a bronze and PLATINUM (a big deal for me) for Heavy Rain.
As an aside I REALLY enjoyed that game but it must now go back to the fine folks at GameFly. Hoping someone makes a game similar to it in the near future/are there any in the works and/or out now? It reminded me of the books I used to read in grade school where the choices you made affected the outcome of the book.
LA Noire sounds like it might be close to what Heavy Rain was.
