I liked the review although I doubt cpu play calling is better. One informed OS poster looked ar the star ratings of the play calls and said they haven't changed. Too many bad plays are highlighted the same as before. I wouldn't expect a huge improvement or unique team tendencies. I hope I'm wrong.
There is a 4.5 GB update (PS4) at launch (update 1.02).

I don't recall seeing reviews pop out this early for an EA Sports game. It tells me the developers and the higher ups were really pleased with this years iteration.
When I heard that Formation Subs, even in a limited fashion, were in I changed my view of this title. I'm still not going to buy it at launch but I'll consider it, based on what guys like Rudy and jaymo say (true Franchise players).
If anyone Twitches or YouTube Live's Franchise mode, I wanna watch so let me know. Everyone on Twitch is either doing MUT or H2H online.

That one is Franchise with a tiny bit of MUT occasionally.
And from watching that one last night and today, I'm pretty okay with Madden for the first time in probably 6 years.
Yeah. Maybe I'm easily impressed but so far, I like what I'm seeing over Twitch. Nothing seems OP at the moment. I've seen high scoring games and low scoring games. Nothing seems OP'd this year. Pass rush could be a bit better but other than that, it seems pretty balanced.Quote:

It's funny, I'm interested in Madden this year too but I'm going to wait to see what people think of Franchise Mode before deciding. The last time I bought Madden was Madden 12.
Just reading on OS and people seem pleased. All pro has qb accuracy too good at default and cpu run blocking not good enough but people do seem to like cpu Rb moves. Overall impressions are positive. People like running game and added weight of players. One person felt streaks are too easy. Many like the new zones. There is an exploit the Madden team is aware of. I'm not even going to say what it is but they are working on it. May be an issue with announcers not saying generated player names deep into franchise but I don't see many major issues being reported like last year.
I like what I've seen.
Also the "nano detection" feature that was discussed was definitely nice to hear. I don't run into that issue much since I don't play lobby games much, but still love the direction the team is going.
Though I believe it will work similarly to how the "DE stall" issue was in M16.

And I don't think I'm going to play with Miami in franchise. I want a 3-4 team and a team that doesn't have pansies for most of their lines. This team was really soft yesterday. I know I won't be using the baby blue uniforms either. Throwbacks all the time.
I plan on giving full impressions and maybe even doing some streaming this weekend.
I caught the last 30 seconds of the clip of the opening game you play when starting Madden. Was leading the Rams down the field against the Redskins in the playoffs, scored the tying touchdown, tried a pass on the two point conversion and failed it, leading to a Redskins victory.

Gonna test streaming on YouTube around 3:15 or so. Gonna use that instead of Twitch from now on I think.
I really wish Xbox would let you stream straight to YouTube like PS4. Especially since the streams I just did have been completely muted because I forgot to go in and turn off all music in-game. Pretty much makes those two streams worthless with no audio at all.

They are archived so then I make stream a Highlight so that I can export to Youtube. I've only had the music muted thus far
