4* OLB Brian Hunt 6'7 228 lbs from Coconut Creek, FL
Brian has pledged his services to the noles after a phone call from coach fsuprime today.
spd C+ ACC B+ TKL C BLKSHD B- PRST B- ZCV B- MCV C STR B- PWMV C+
The noles dont have an immediate need at OLB, but with 2 seniors graduating the depth chart will be very thin next season.
The following players have signed their LOIs to Oklahoma:
Travis Lawson, the nation's 39th-ranked runningback.. B+ SPD, B- AGI, C+ ACC, B- ELU.. hoping for a diamond in the rough here or just a solid contributor. Lawson is from Paris, TX and also considered Arizona State, Michigan, UCLA and Penn State before deciding to join the Sooners. Lawson looks to be a power runner with C TRKing and C STR. Hopefully he will come in with mid-to-high 80s speed and will likely redshirt in 2011 and will probably be the no. 4 RB behind Calhoun, Clay and Finch next year if he doesn't. It's also possible that Lawson with his 5'10" 194lb size could end up playing WR.
Michigan lands #11 MLB Jarred Roberts:
Height: 6'4''
Weight: 235 pounds
Speed: A-, Acceleration B, Agility C+, Play Recognition B-, Block Shedding C+, Pursuit B-, Zone Coverage C, Man Coverage C, Power Moves C-, Finesse Moves C-
Evaluation:
Difficult to find many physical flaws in Roberts' game as an inside linebacker. He has great size, is strong, explosive and very aggressive between the tackles. Is tall and actually a bit high-cut; looks to still have a ton of physical development left and could easily tip the scales at the 240-pound range in college. Fills hard and fast between the tackles. Shows very good downhill burst and first-step quickness for a player with his size; is able to consistently beat blockers to the hole. Plays with square shoulder pads, even when pursuing off-tackle, and rarely gets turned at the point of attack and opens up a cutback crease. Flashes great short-area power and force. Drives through ball carriers as a tackler. Needs to work on hand technique and leverage at the point of attack but can stalemate the cutoff block and jolt blocker's back on contact; really generates great downhill force quickly. Shows above average burst and speed on outside run support; shows very good chase speed and acceleration to the sideline for his size. His longer, smoother stride is impressive tracking down ball carriers. However, we have concerns about his laterally agility through the wash and see some stiffness/wasted motion changing direction. Better redirecting in the short-area. More effective as a straight-line, vertical attacker but does show some deceptive athleticism getting depth in coverage and ball skills. Leverage could be a constant issue. Overall, Roberts needs to work on his flexibility and continue filling out his longer frame but we feel this guy will be very productive at the next level versus downhill, power-running teams. May struggle versus offenses who spread the field. Defensive end may be in his future with his long wingspan, quickness off the ball and up field explosiveness. Potentially a 3-4 OLB as well.
nice pick up on that MLB oneback, whats his height?
Dynasty Wire says 6'4".
Yeah, I just updated my post. He's 6'4'' 235.
If Papa manages to Instant Commit #6 SS Morton, I think there might be a rebellion on this forum. 7 Users in his Top 10.
Thats one guy I am not going after. I already have 4 young safeties.
I'm glad most of you guys aren't in a lot of my recruits minds.
looks like a few teams are losing quite a few seniors, i think i will be in that position next year, i will be interested to see if you guys can fill out your rosters completely this season.
Note: "né" means the name in the game. I'm going to be fitting my recruits to 1996 recruit's names.

Tech and Houston has a lot of intense recruiting battles going on right now. I wish I had them on my schedule so I could invite recruits to the game and beat them.
The Hokies grabbed their first commit of the season
**** #16 ATH
John Murphy

Reston,Va
Murphy chose Va Tech over Tennessee and Miami
I just got another commit. This time from a 3 star receiver with A SPD and only D ACC. So he might not see the field until his junior year or only as a return specialist.
I just had a good recruiting week. No one commited but I had some very good calls...namely two of them where I got 780 and 886 points on them.
I needed every one of those points in hopes of catching the teams in front of me as well.
im pretty sure you get the recruiting adviser random bonuses whether u recruit on the web or in the game.
yea i hit double recruiting week on 3 of my most coveted recruits, very happy. Had two 900s and a 860.
Tech gets it's first recruit:
**** WR Gerald Chavez
alot more anxiety this year in recruiting, never sure when the computer is going to dominate me :/, and picking visit dates is tougher as well.
Seeing Tennessee inviting recruits for their Week 3 showdown with Florida was all the proof I needed that recruiting has drastically changed this year.
I had quite a few recruits in house for our 49-17 creaming of Iowa including two players ranked #1 in their position.. wouldn't be surprised with a couple commits, maybe from the #1 C.
I signed a 4* HB Jeremy Mackey in week 1.
I have been trying so hard to solidify my top 10 on my board that I have turned a blind eye almost to the back end of my board. This year the recruiting is much more intense and adds some more excitement for me.
I brought in a couple of recruits to watch that beatdown against Kent State actually just to see what their rating of the trip will be since I would be a very strong favorite in this out of conference game. Looking forward to seeing how their trip went.
The Hokies pick up their 2nd recruit yesterday evening by signing
Bo Booth
#14 DE
6'-6", 230 lbs
Waltham,MA
Run Stopper
4-star (top 150)
B+ PUR, B+ FIN Moves, B- Blk Shedding
Booth chose the Hokies over West Virginia and Auburn
Hopefully we lock up a few more recruits next week after their visits after ECU
I am loving recruiting this year. From the increased difficulty, to the way calls go, to being able to see how many points you are behind a team and most importantly the way recruiting against another team is set up.
I am bringing in all the recruits I can for Michigan State (week 6), hopefully it won't backfire.
Agreed, Oneback, the recruiting against opponents is a great improvement. Considerably better, and easier to understand, than last year's attempt.
I just noticed I only have one 5-star recruit I'm in the running for lol. The rest are all 4-star recruits. I added another 5-star just now but I know I won't get him as FSU is up by a huge amount.
i have noticed that some of you all are still going for guys not in your top 10, i will be interested to see if you guys can pull it off, i have tried a few times in my offline OD and had 0 luck :/
haha skip, now i need to do some research and make sure i dont slack off on whoever ur talking about!
A tip... do not recruit for an Online Dynasty during an electric storm or possible power outtage. I was recruiting last night during a storm and my power went out. When I got back on today, it had used all of my proper time, however none of the changes to my list were saved (ie adding, removing, and reorganizing my list). As well, two players that I had set to come in on a visit are no longer set for a visit, instead they're still listed as Ready. My assumption is that none of my call results were actually saved... instead it logged that I used that time but didn't log my results.
If you notice when you first call a recruit it says "Reporting call to server".
Wow, this is ironic but guess what I just picked up this past weekend from BB?

I would have random outages a few months ago that would of course turn power off the PS3 (which is a no-no). Well I wanted to get one of these bad boys so I could plug the PS3, modem and router into so I can still stay powered up. Only thing I'd have to worry about is powering the plasma. Haven't checked to see how much power it would draw (currently the 3 devices I have in now draw 35% load or around 220 watts)
I know it doesn't totally pertain to your situation but wanted to share
