Bo Jackson Coming to NCAA Football Ultimate Team

As you probably already know, NCAA Football 14 will add a popular feature from other franchises called Ultimate Team (NFUT for short). As part of that, those that love the mode (or love a particular college team) are looking forward to seeing some of their favorite all-time legends take the collegiate field again. One of those that immediately springs to mind to almost everyone would be Bo Jackson.


Kotaku's Owen Good has an article with all of the details about Jackson's history as well as comments from EA once they were able to secure him into the game.


When he visited our television sets a generation ago he came to us in two different forms, one of them human. In his time he was unmistakably the best athlete of both realms, and his latter manifestation—the indestructible, immortal, and still unstoppable Video Game Bo Jackson—returns to the field next week.

"Bo knows football." My top three favourite Raider of all time... look forward to seeing him in a FB game again.

It would be awesome if they had the rip-away jerseys, orange face mask. Just like he had in the early 80's. War Eagle!

and EA makes the mistake of making his 99 card like some Honus Wagner hard to find card in the unimportant virtual world that some idiot will want 100,000 or more tokens for and only fools who spent another 50 bucks on virtual tokens will be able to get him :fdown:

That's what I was thinking! The best thing about the Tecmo Bowl Bo Jackson is that anybody could play with him any time they wanted...he was awesome to play with in the game!

So you (or maybe it was someone else) was complaining about everyone stocking up with a team full of 99 OVR or top level cards and "beasts" of teams in these Ultimate Team modes in other games, but you want Bo Jackson's card to be basically available to everyone to give them one of the best players in the game mode instead of making it rare to get. Makes sense. :fp:

the people who get 99s will do it regardless of players name and get cheaper 99s too. Theres plenty of offline games you can play in this mode to have fun with what ever players you get. I can hate AI abusers and still want to have fun with better rated players. there is no contradiction there.
