College Football 26 - Field Art Review

The College Football development has stated on the record that 'each team is someone's favorite' as they implement team-specific details etc. With that in mind, many CFB fans enjoying following the process of details getting added to the game. From uniforms (current & throwback), to team entrances, uniforms, stadium intricacies, player equipment, rosters, et al., fans track what gets added for their favorite team each year and in Title Updates.

One team specific item that has lacked attention are accurate Field Art designs. While some schools have had their updated design added during the standard development cycle, correcting them post-release has not been a focus for CFB. To date, the only school specifically spotlighted as having their field art added post-release was Kansas in CFB 26.

With that in mind, TGT has taken a closer look at the field art for all 136 FBS programs. Some programs including Arizona State & Florida International utilize multiple designs throughout a season, while CFB only features one, which may not be a match for any that the school utilizes. Other programs, such as Oklahoma, change their endzone backdrop whether or not their foe is a conference opponent. Again, this is not represented correctly in the title. Long-term, proper implementation and representation for field arts could include the option to select which design the user would like for their game, perhaps even including throwback designs.

It's worth noting that TGT makes no promises or claims that EA will use or even see this feedback to improve this team detail. However, it could be beneficial for fans to politely ask or request school accounts/representatives on social media, for example, to work with EA on correcting for future versions of the game by noting any inaccuracies.
