Courtesy astute members of the Reddit community, EA SPORTS College Football 25 posters have begun appearing on college campuses around the country including Florida, Michigan, and Notre Dame. [UPDATE: Posters have also appeared at Alabama, Boise State, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon, Texas, and Tulane.]

The posters follow a similar theme: Some highlight/note the real-life players signed onto the game, others include the team logos or iconic school images such as their helmet or team flag, for example. It is worth noting that the position posters list the 'Edge' position, so the game may be utilizing new depth chart terminology. The posters list the game as still being 'Rating Pending' and no release date or console format listed.

It is currently unknown what other schools have posters or who EA may have hired to place these posters on campus.

If you have pictures of these posters on any nearby campuses, please post them here or share with us on X (formerly Twitter): @gamingtailgate.

During Tuesday's Third Quarter Fiscal Year 2024 Earnings Conference Call, Electronic Arts reiterated that EA SPORTS College Football will be released in 'Summer 2024' via comments from both CEO Andrew Wilson and CFO Stuart Canfield.

The last release of game information came in November 2022 via an ESPN.com article that contained an interview and several work-in-progress screenshots of Michigan Stadium and Brutus Buckeye. The long gap in official communication from EA SPORTS has led to growing concern within the community that the game may be delayed. These statements should help to alleviate such concerns.

Wilson acknowledged that there is "an incredible amount of pent-up demand" for the title and that he believes EA CFB will be "both complementary in gameplay but overall additive to the [Madden NFL] ecosystem" as EA works to expand the football community in the US and internationally.

Other noteworthy statements directly from EA included:
    - "In calendar 2023, Madden NFL was the best-selling sports game in North America" and "In Q3, net bookings grew and engagement with Ultimate Team increased 19%."
    - "Live services net bookings grew to a record $1.71 billion in Q3, up 3% year-over-year."
    - "On a trailing 12-month basis, total net bookings was up 8% year-over-year, with live services contributing $5.6 billion, or 73%."

According to an anonymous image sent to YouTube creator Tubbylight, EA SPORTS filmed a commercial for EA SPORTS College Football at the Rose Bowl on January 23, 2024.

In a YT video posted on January 24, the creator stated that he had received an anonymous e-mail with a picture showing a crew filming said commercial. In the image, a director's clapboard lists 'EA x CFB,' the director Trent Ubben, and cinematographer Seth MacMillan on camera. Ubben is co-founder of the production /creative agency The Rec League and has worked with EA SPORTS in the past, including such recent projects as the Madden NFL 23 Super Bowl prediction video, the Madden NFL 23 launch video, and the Madden NFL 21 and 20 cover athlete reveal videos. MacMillan is an award-winning cinematographer, specifically for the short film My Life Stopped at 15.

On Instagram, Tubbylight was able to find a publicly shared video from a co-worker of the anonymous source showing a brief video of the production crew on the field preparing to film. A publicly shared image showed the crew in the stands of the Rose Bowl with a camera recording the San Gabriel Mountains outside the stadium. It appears the crew is also interviewing or preparing to interview someone as an unknown subject has a boom mic above them and is being lit for a camera.

Given Ubben's history, it seems to be a strong possibility that this shoot may be for the cover athlete reveal or for a feature reveal video as he has created several of them previously for the company.

In the January 9, 2024 edition of The Rice Thresher (Rice University's Student Newspaper), Diego Palos Rodriguez visited with Rice’s associate athletic director of external affairs David Pillen to learn about how the Rice Owls were preparing to appear in this summer's release of EA SPORTS College Football. Prior to Rodriguez's article, Rice's status in the title was unknown. This would seemingly confirm the Owls will be licensed and represented in the game.

Pillen confirmed that the school has submitted assets requested by the CLC and EA including 'competition, stadium visuals, music, logos, uniform combinations from this past season, and brand taglines.' Worth noting is that Pillen disclosed that there have also been discussions regarding face scans for players, which he says have yet to happen. It is unknown to what extend teams or players will have scans in the game. (It is expected that facescans will not occur until players opt-in to the title and it is believed that those discussions/contracts have yet to take place as well.)

Sportico recently interview Cam Weber, President of EA SPORTS. In the show, Weber and hosts Scott and Eben talk about all things EA: how the company attempts to reach Gen Z, takeaways from the Fortnite craze, the companies relationship with sports leagues, EA SPORTS FC, and even some vague EA SPORTS College Football information.

Weber tells the hosts that the game has to rebuild some items such as recruiting which has changed drastically in the ten years since the release of NCAA Football 14. Several times Weber mentions that game information (such as how they have a 'cool solution' to handle NIL) will 'come in the new year.' The College Football segment ends with Weber saying that he last visited with the dev team several weeks ago and at that time he believed that approximately 130 schools had signed on to be part of the title coming Summer 2024.
