New roster and data updates (dated January 29) are now available for NBA LIVE 15.

There were no major bumps in overall ratings for players this week. The only player with an overall ratings increase or decrease greater than a single point was the Houston Rockets' Josh Smith who dropped down by two. Smith's biggest specific rating drops came in post defense (-8) and help defense (-14).

This update adds in one of the two new all-black Chicago Bulls alternate uniforms as well as the Brooklyn Nets' Pride uniform. (Still missing from the game are the Miami Heat 'Black Tie' uniforms, as well as the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets Chinese New Year uniforms, revealed just earlier this week.)

Continue on to see screens of the new uniforms in action. ...

The weekly NBA LIVE 15 roster (ratings) update is now available. The largest increases belong to Rudy Gobert (+4), Hassan Whiteside (+3), Alex Len (+3), Andrew Wiggins (+3), and Kevin Seraphin (+3). The most significant decreases are attributed to Derrick Rose (-2) and Dwight Howard (-2). The update also revises depth charts, accessory updates, et al. A blog and spreadsheet detailing this week's changes is currently available at the official NBA LIVE product website.

There is no major content update with this update, leaving many LIVE fans wondering if/when additional face scans, shoes, and perhaps additional content will be coming to the game. It is expected (but not confirmed or supported by any statement from EA) that any potential next round of content will arrive in conjunction with the update that adds in the correct 2015 All-Star Game court and rosters. The similar update for NBA LIVE 14 arrived a week before the All-Star game, which would put an ETA around February 8 for LIVE 15. ...

Another roster/ratings update is now available for NBA LIVE 15. The update included updated depth charts, player movement, injury, and accessory updates.

Based on the previous roster update, it appears the game can now move players to new squads without an in-game update. This would allow recent trades and signings to be reflected automatically in-game an hour after a game where they play with their new squad.

The update also added cover athlete Damian Lillard's signature shoe, the D Lillard 1 by adidas. ...

A much anticipated roster update is now available for NBA Live 15. The update reflects some of the numerous recent trades and roster shake-ups such as Josh Smith to Houston, JR Smith and Iman Shumpert to Cleveland, and Dion Waiters to Oklahoma City. (Timofey Mozgov is still with Denver and not yet with the Cavs.) The update also updates Practice Mode rosters.

EA SPORTS has posted a blog and spreadsheet detailing the rating changes as part of this update.

UPDATE - Mozgov switched automatically (no roster update/download necessary) to Cleveland after playing with the Cavaliers. If Synergy/NBA Live can get players to automatically appear on new teams within an hour of playing, many players will be happy. The next roster 'fix' that needs to occur is for Inactive players (injured, DNP previous night, etc.) to appear so users may insert them into the line-up for Play Now games. Long-term, these issues only reinforce the need for NBA Live to include full roster editing and sharing abilities.

The roster improvements made are still not as fast as their competitor NBA 2K which is now updating rosters manually each night with the latest signing & trades, but it is a major start and help keep Live competitive on this front. ...

Another NBA LIVE 15 roster update is now available. Some of the biggest movers include Toronto's Kyle Lowry, Golden State's Klay Thompson, and Washington's John Wall. A slow start for Cleveland and LeBron James have The King losing rating points in his Layup and Draw Foul ratings.

Given the updates this week and last, it appears NBA 2K15's daily roster updates have helped spurred LIVE to release weekly roster changes.
