EA SPORTS has officially released the Top 25 teams in NCAA Football 13. A listing of the Top 25 emerged during E3 2012 coverage, but was finally confirmed last week on the official product site.

Defending BCS National Champion Alabama will enters NCAA Football 13 as the #1 team in the game. USC - the trendy non-SEC National Championship pick - is at #2 with LSU coming in at #3. Oregon, Oklahoma, Georgia, Arkansas, Florida State, Michigan, and West Virginia round out the top ten. (Keep in mind that the Top 25 does not necessarily indicate the top rated overall teams in the game; it is EA's attempt to match the yet-to-be-released pre-season polls).

Continue on to view the Top 25 teams in NCAA Football 13 and to also look back at the NCAA Football 12 Top 25 and see how they finished the 2011 season. ...

EA SPORTS has released more NCAA Football 13 gameplay images featuring the following programs: Arizona State, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Iowa State, Maryland, Mississippi State, Stanford, and Washington.

Additionally, quite a few teams made it as a by-product of being in these screenshots and they include: Arizona, Auburn, Cal, Clemson, Colorado, Duke, Florida State, Iowa, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, Oregon, Oregon State, San Jose State, Tennessee, Texas, UCLA, USC, Virginia Tech, and West Virginia.

While some programs (such as Maryland & Washington) are featured in outdated uniforms/aspects, it is expected - but yet to be confirmed or detailed - that uniforms will be updated at some point during the season. There is some speculation these screens are relatively older in nature and may not be from a recent build of the game based upon rosters and uniforms and may be solely for distribution for media outlets around the country in articles previewing NCAA Football 13.

With news on Tuesday that the presidential oversight committee has formally approved a seeded, four-team playoff to crown a national champion, college football will change as we know it - for better or worse.

However, these changes will not take effect until the 2014 season. This means that the first version of the video game to be directly impacted (where the first year of Dynasty Mode matches up with the starting year of playoffs - 2014) would be NCAA Football 15. ...

NCAA Football 13 will mark the seventh year of the franchise on the next-gen consoles. In the spring of 2006, the NCAA Football community would begin to change forever. As we lead up to the release of NCAA 13, The Gaming Tailgate will look back at the previous next-gen versions of the game.

With the release of NCAA Football 07 – only on the X-Box 360 – and a fresh start to the franchise, the fracture of the community began. Some in the community stayed on the PlayStation 2 and those who made the switch to next-gen gaming were divided between the 360 and the PlayStation 3. As the studio made the decision to start anew on these next generation consoles, some in the community became disenfranchised with the lack of features on the 360/PS3 version as compared to the PS2 version.

While the rebuilding of the franchise may have taken more time than some would like, it has also witnessed features and game modes that could not have existed on the last-gen series: Stadium Sounds, EA Locker, The Weather Channel Live Feed, web-based TeamBuilder, Dynasty Wire, and the crown jewel - Online Dynasty. ...
