Winding down another season, we head into the weekend before Turkey Day and the big Rivalry Weekend next Friday and Saturday.

But first! Another 7 day week of football, as we get MAC doubleheaders tonight and Wednesday night. The IAA squads get in on the action Thursday as does the now lackluster (compared to before the season) Louisville-Houston game and a nice littlr rivalry showdown between Arkansas State and Troy. Nothing too exciting, but another chance to see the field that a million smurfs ejaculated on.

Come Saturday, does Iowa have a let down against Illinois, does Ohio State stay on track over Michigan State? How about Oklahoma State-TCU? The Ohio State Bitch Club meets at noon as Maryland and Nebraska (both 62-3 losers against the Bucks) face each other. Don't forget the D-IAA rivalries, Yale-Harvard and Lafayette-Lehigh.

Later in the day, Western Michigan looks to remain one of the last two unbeatens against Buffalo, Michigan tries to get back on track against Indiana, Wyoming tries to keep their successful season going against SDSU, it's a big showdown between Washington State and Colorado, Navy tries to stay in the AAC West driver's seat against East Carolina, and Notre Dame tries to start a win streak over Virginia Tech.

Saturday night, Alabama goes pussy mode with cupcake Chattanooga. After stumbling last week, Clemson matches up with a Wake Forest team that was actually pushing around Louisville for the first half of the game last week. In AAC title game implications, South Florida battles SMU while Temple takes on Tulane and Tulsa faces Central Florida. Washington tries to recover from last week against Arizona State, West Virginia tries not to blow another championship opportunity while Oklahoma just tries not to blow.

Penn State, potentially in the driver's seat in the Big Ten East gets cupcake Rutgers. We get some late night Mountain West action as Air Force visits San Jose State and New Mexico travels to Colorado State. And lastly, it's a Pac-12 After Dark doubleheader as Arizona faces Oregon State while USC battles hated rival UCLA.

Also, a big morning at 11am Sunday morning, the D-IAA playoff selection show! Real true 24 team playoffs, not this little shitty wannabe joke of a playoff that the big schools do.

I have to edit my statement on West Virginia making the playoffs. You not only have to jump a bunch of one and two loss teams, you now have to jump a three loss team.

College Football Playoff Poll

1 Alabama 10-0
2 Ohio State 9-1
3 Michigan 9-1
4 Clemson 9-1
5 Louisville 9-1
6 Washington 9-1
7 Wisconsin 8-2
8 Penn State 8-2
9 Oklahoma 8-2
10 Colorado 8-2
11 Oklahoma State 8-2
12 Utah 8-2
13 USC 7-3
14 West Virginia 8-1

One of the worst performances by an offensive line, ever! How many times were they flagged for false starts, not to mention all the sacks. They spent half the game in 2nd and 3rd down with 15+ yards to go.

What excuse is the Playoff Committee gonna make to keep Louisville up there still? Gotta have Louisville near the top still to keep Clemson's one top 25 win intact cause, you know, losing to a 5-4 Pittsburgh team means you still deserve to be in the Playoff race. Getting sick and tired of seeing this bullshit. Getting tired of "strength of schedule" and all that other bullshit. I don't care about "better losses" or "worse wins" or any of that shit. Did the team win the game? Did they beat everyone that was on their schedule? Then shut the fuck up about everything else. It's a popularity contest. It's not "the best 4 teams in the country". It's which 4 teams have the most recognizable name. Anything else is just lying bullshit.

Based on that logic Western Michigan should be in the top 4 since they are undefeated and Western Michigan does not belong in the top 4. They beat two bottom tier Big Ten teams and have a MAC schedule. SOS exists for a reason. Also teams do get better and/or worse as the season progresses.

And I think they should be there. Absolutely, without a doubt. And it should also be 8 teams instead of 4, which will gain serious traction after this year. Going undefeated isn't a fucking cake walk. They still have to play the games. They still have to go out there and win. Going undefeated should mean you're automatically in the Playoffs.

I don't give a shit about "strength of schedule". That's a bunch of bullshit. These games were all scheduled 5-7 years ago. You can't blame strength of schedule on scheduling teams half a decade in advance. All strength of schedule does is reward the SEC and the Big 10 for their perceived strength based on past performance. The SEC is a tire fire outside of Alabama, plain and simple. And the Big 10 is a bunch of bullshit. Ohio State loses to Penn State, a team that lost to a 5-4 Pittsburgh team. Michigan losses to a 5-4 Iowa team that lost to North Dakota State and Northwestern at home. That's your two best teams in the conference, losing to teams that were 5-4. So, don't give me this bullshit about strength of schedule. Two teams lose to 5-4 teams, and drop 1 spot each in the playoff rankings. 1 SPOT. Clemson, loses to a 5-4 Pittsburgh team, again, drops 1 spot. Somehow, losing to a fucking team that is going to be lucky to make a bowl game means you're still in the hunt for the playoffs. I'm sick of it already. These aren't the 4 best teams. The 4 best teams don't lose to 5-4 teams that are going to be lucky to make a shit bowl game at 6-6.

No matter how many times Boise State, or Northern Illinois, or Houston win a major bowl game or get big upset wins, people still refuse to give any mid major the time of day when it comes to the playoff (or previously BCS title game). If Houston had managed to stay undefeated right now, even after beating Oklahoma and now Louisville, and their Big 6 bowl game win last January, you'd still have fucking dumbasses saying they don't belong in the conversation.

A mid major could go undefeated, horsefuck Alabama 100-0 and they still wouldn't belong according to some dumbfucks. And people wonder why I say fuck all the teams in the power 5 conferences.

If Houston was undefeated right now they would be in the top 4. They beat two top 5 teams, at the time OU was #3 and back in the top 10. Western Michigan on the other hand has not played anyone worth mentioning. There is a big difference between Houston and Western Michigan.

I have said it since before the playoffs were born. Make it really simple. ACC, SEC, Big 10, PAC10, AAC, MWC and Big 12 all get a birth (8 team playoff) and it goes to the winner of the conference champion. That is seven teams in without any questions, computers or big wigs. You win, you are in. The 8th team is picked from the best team from the Independents, Sun Belt, C-USA and MAC. This gives you the underdog, you guys so desperately want. Western Michigan is your 8 seed this year. Now this makes it more like March Madness as you have a guaranteed 3 little guys (also it would hopefully force ND and BYU to join a football conference). Of course it will also end up similar to March Madness with a rare upset and the winner usually ends up from a power conference.

It doesn't matter who they've played. They went undefeated against the schedule that was given to them. Schools that aren't the big names don't get to pick and choose who they play. They play who is willing to play them, hopefully willing to do a home and home against them. Western Michigan deserves to be in the playoff hunt just as much as any of these bullshit 1 loss teams do.

Schedules are not given to them, the Athletic Director of each school makes them. They may not get to pick and choose their perfect schedule but big schools (especially in the Big Ten) are more than happy to schedule a MAC team. Of course they are not going to give them a home and home. You honestly think Michigan is going to play at Western Michigan? That is delusional at best. Soft OOC schedules have hurt National Powers in the past, they should do the same for the smaller schools.

Let's look at the MAC schedules this year. Why even Central Michigan pulled out a win in Stillwater (sort of).

Ohio played @ Tennessee
Miami (OH) @ Iowa
Akron @ Wisconsin
Bowling Green @ Ohio St
Central Michigan @ Oklahoma St

Kansas wins in OT.

@SportsCenter: Kansas has not beaten Texas since before WWII started (1938).

Notre Dame chokes away a 24-7 lead.

Too many good things are happening today, I am really nervous now for the WV game.

OU's defense was also pretty embarrassing in the first half. You guys were able to run the ball, just could not hold onto it. Still a half to go. If OU finishes it off there will technically be a Big 12 Championship against Oklahoma St.

Just glad we have two weeks to get ready for Bedlam because we are completely broken when it comes to stopping the pass and now we can't stop the run. Mike Stoops might have gotten more camera time than Bob, as they panned to the coaches booth so often. Between Mike and Dana Holgorsen it's like they were hoping one of them would have a stroke on National TV.

The Big 12 Championship game. Winner gets the trophy and there is still a very slim playoff possibilities for the winner and they schedule it at 11 fucking 30 in the morning. Who does that? The Conference USA and AAC, that is who (no offense Bill and Smooth). How much shittier can this joke of a conference get. What is on Fox Saturday afternoon that is so important? The Big Ten game is on at night. At least have something to watch when Alabama is beating the crap out of Florida. Well at least it is not on FS1. :D:(:fp:

The Bedlam battle will take place on Owen Field in Norman on Saturday, Dec. 3.

Kickoff is set for 11:30 a.m.

It's because everyone knows that OU is gonna beat the shit out of OSU and you guys still want have a shot at the playoffs. You need like 5 teams to be upset, some of them twice, in the next three weeks for that to happen.

Going to my first college football game of the year this weekend. After moving to Raleigh and being crazy busy for 4 months, my wife & I are taking in NC State vs UNC on Friday. It will be my first non-SBC & non-SEC game to attend and a game where I really have no rooting interest.

Yeah, took a great job offer and doubled my salary in the move. I've been here since the end of August but still getting settled in. I think over time, we'll like it much better because of the location (3 hours to the Appalachian mountains & 2 hours to the beach).

It also doesn't hurt to have 3 college football teams within 20 minutes. I obviously won't get to see ASU in person much but App State is a few hours away and Coastal Carolina just joined the SBC so I'll see them some.
