#17 Temple defeats #22 Pitt 24-21

In a battle of sensational sophomore running backs pierce takes his team to victory.

Doak Walker award winner So. Bernard Pierce rushed for 198 yards on 27 carries and 1 TD.

Pitt So. Dion Lewis rushed for 140 yards on 21 carries and 2 TDs, and also threw a 30 yard TD pass but it would not be enough to overcome T. Sunseri's 2 interceptions in the 1st half.

Talked with VGWinKid today... he said likely it will be October 1st before he will be moved into a new apartment so he'll have to hang tight until then.

I just got hammered by UNC. They just destroyed my defense, and confused my offense enough to force some key punts that hurt any chances the Hilltoppers had at a comeback.

52-21 I think was the final. To hard to remember the beatdown, already trying to forget.

Memphis wins the New Orleans bowl 39-35 in a crazy matchup. Arkansas State had to rely on a backup QB & a FB to attempt to carry them but came up short, largely due to four interceptions thrown by QB Andre Smith. Despite that, the Red Wolves still led most of the way but a late kickoff return for touchdown put Memphis in striking distance and on their followup drive, took the lead with 9 seconds remaining. The Red Wolves attempted two passes to the endzone from 55 yards out but the first fell out of the receiver's hands and the second was well short.
