This is it, other than Army-Navy next weekend, the final week of the regular season.

So many questions to be answered.

Will Clemson get through their CCG unscathed?
Will Alabama stay on track against Florida?
Will Iowa prove they're for real or will their overrated schedule expose them against Michigan State?
Will USC keep rolling against Stanford?
Will Oklahoma make it into the CFP or will their loss to Texas open the door for Ohio State? I mean, they DID lose to Texas after all!
Will Santa Claus give ram a brain for Christmas?

We'll find out those answers in just a few days!

Neither Oklahoma or Ohio State are playing in a conference title game. Advantage Ohio State.

Strength of schedule favors Oklahoma, but does the fact that they faced teams without their starters weigh in where SoS does not?

And no, Santa gives ram a microwave to stick his tin foil hat in. While it's still on his head...

Still getting in the playoff.

P.S. Oklahoma won their Conference Title, Ohio State did not.

Are you serious? Advantage Ohio St.? Oklahoma won their conference. All advantage goes to Oklahoma. SoS goes to Oklahoma. Oklahoma whopping ass against Baylor, TCU, and OK St. is better than whopping overachieving Michigan.

Texas is definitely a bad loss but Oklahoma has better wins than Ohio St.

And the QBs being hurt isn't going to hurt Oklahoma. Notre Dame's current starting 22 basically were the 22 backups on the 2-deep and they still balled out.

Ohio St. did what TCU did last year. Lost the one game the couldn't afford to lose. That's why they're out.

Hmm, that's funny, I don't see a Big XII Championship Game this weekend. Whooping ass against Baylor and TCU? :D

I think we have different definitions of whooping ass. If by whooping ass you mean escaping by the skin of your ass by a single point against TCU.

Oh, and they lost to Texas!

I would like to see them move back to that but will need a couple more teams. Until then they play every team in the conference. So unlike Iowa, who did not have Mich, Mich St and Ohio St on their schedule, we played them all. Including Texas, who beat us by a touchdown in a rivalry game.

Fair enough. I misremembered the Oklahoma/TCU score. Despite the score, they definitely controlled the Baylor game and they beat OK St. handily. After the dominoes fall this weekend, there may be 3 teams more worthy than Oklahoma but there won't be 4.

No one cares. 3rd string QB won it all last year. Notre Dame is on they're 2 and kept winning. No sympathy for injuries.

It's not sympathy for that team, it's lessening the SoS for facing backups.

They're in and can beat Michigan St and Clemson. I'm sure Nick Saban hasn't forgotten about the last time they played Oklahoma and will go out of his way to not have that repeat.

Regardless of backup QB or not. Oklahoma played a definitively tougher schedule when compared to OSU. TCU, Baylor, & Ok State where all top 15 teams or better. OSU lost to a overrated & underachieving MSU, and then bet an overrated Michigan that had a laughable SoS.

But we lost to Texas. :easy:

Fortunately the committee uses some logic and views the full season, SOS, etc instead of pissing and moaning about one game.

Not to mention that the AP has us #3 and Coaches Poll #4.

Even if we were back in the BCS days the computers have us #3.

To everyone hating on OU simply because they lost to Texas. At least OU actually played a strong SoS, compared to OSU's really weak and none impressive schedule. A schedule in which OSU struggled against most of their opponents, and only had a good showing against a overrated Michigan team.

I'm not a OU fan, but even I can see that OU's the better team. Not to forget OU's SoS is far better than OSU's.

SmoothPancakes

Big deal OU lost to Texas. Boo F'ing Hoo!.

That lose was in the early part of OU's schedule, and since then OU's played dominate football.

OSU has played borderline average football against a very weak SoS, but people seemingly worship their overrated asses cause of Barret, Elliot and Jones. Even though all three have played lackluster football all year.

If OSU a non-conference champ gets in over OU who won the Big 12, then the CFP committee need to get fired.

Hell the MAC looks tougher then the Big 10 most seasons. I mean how many bowl wins has the Big 10 won in the past 10 years? Like 11 or 12 tops I think.

Nah, not really. Outside of the shithole that's Cleveland, Ohio really ain't bad. Certainly better than the cum stain of America that is Texas and all the window licking retards that live in Texas. But, hey, in that case, you fit right in in Texas. Maybe born and raised is correct for you. Just make sure it's only clean windows that you're licking there Skippy.

Yep. They beat Baylor.

So, take your pick. Is Baylor crap or is it a result of them playing their 4th QB (who is actually a WR and couldn't throw the ball more than about 10 yards without it looking like a punt)?

Baylor is the worst team in the country at turnover differential since their QB went down. They were in the top 5 before then.

steelerfan

Southern Miss got pounded in the second half today. I'd like to think it had something to do with their top 5 defensive players being injured but I recently learned to not sympathize with injuries so I have to conclude that Southern Miss is just garbage. ;)

I think Texas should be embarrassed for almost losing to a team that could not pass the ball. It was getting so bad the dad of the starting RB was calling for the defensive head coach to be fired. (http://collegespun.com/big-12/texas-big-12/father-of-texas-running-back-calls-for-longhorns-vance-bedford-to-be-fired)

Most at ShaggyTexas still consider the win a failure due to Baylor making a comeback with nothing but a running game and the desire to fire Charlie is as Strong as ever. (pun intended)

Game had no effect on OU already being in the playoffs.

Arkansas State is the outright Sun Belt Conference champions. That gives us 4 conference titles in 5 years under 4 different head coaches.

I think you're right but I believe those 4 should be ranked: Clemson, Michigan State, Alabama, Oklahoma.

Of course, that would make no difference since the match ups would be the same and they're neutral site games.

Then again there is the chance that Oklahoma is 3 and MSU is 4.

I think the rankings should go.

1. Oklahoma
2. Alabama
3. Clemson
4. Michigan St.

OU has been looking like the best team in CFB for over a month, with Alabama a close second. Clemson/Michigan St could easily be 3 or 4 depending on who you think is better between them.

Rankings will most likely end up.

1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Oklahoma
4. Michigan St

Now if they would just cut a non-conference game we could have an 8 team playoff.

Really simple. Champions of each conference (Big 5) gets in. Highest rated non-Big 5 conference team gets automatic bid. Maximum of 2 teams from any of the Big 5 conferences.

1. Clemson
2. Alabama
3. Oklahoma
4. Michigan St
5. Stanford
6. Iowa or Ohio St
7. Notre Dame
8. Houston

Edit: Should add that the Big 12 would need to add two more teams and have a Conference Championship game.
