Another week ready to start in 24 hours. One change, LSU-South Carolina is now being played at LSU due to flooding in South Carolina. South Carolina will seemingly still be considered the home team, but it sure won't be a home game on the field.

Nah, they can just plain blow me. Outside of Navy week, I couldn't care less who they play and who they beat or lose to.

Southern Miss plays at Marshall this week on Friday. I'll be covering my own school's game so I'll miss it. If we win, we're serious contenders in the division and possibly conference.
UL-Lafayette is shitting the bed this season. They have Texas St. who Southern Miss beat earlier in a shootout.
And, as Smooth said earlier, here in Baton Rouge, we're hosting South Carolina. As someone who lived through Katrina and Issac, my thoughts and prayers are with those people.

LSU is donating the profits of the game this week back to South Carolina. They're even going to play South Carolina's fight song and alma mater.

#24 is someone I would want on my team. Great trick play where he fakes taking a punt and gets knocked on his ass. Then gets up and outruns everyone to block for his teammate.

Sark might have to get back on the juice to regain his coaching super-powers or he'll be joining Edsall.

Navy just pissed today away. They had a chance, only trailing by 3 at halftime. But two fumbles, an interception and Keenan Reynolds being out for a sizeable portion of the game just plain fucked them.
They best get their heads pulled out of their asses for Tulane next week. Otherwise they can kiss any hope at an AAC championship goodbye as well as their undefeated record from today.

Eh. It was to be expected. I've got nothing to be proud of and you have nothing to be ashamed of. Pretty much what I thought this game would be.

True, I just had really high hopes after they got right back in it and were right there at halftime.
Granted, I knew it was gonna take another perfect game for them to knock off Notre Dame, I just had the expectations they could do it. This is arguably Navy's best team since probably 2009 or 2004 and Notre Dame was essentially the only "major" opponent that could best keep Navy from a potential perfect season.
Just disappointed they were right there halfway through and couldn't keep it up.

North Texas lost their homecoming game to Portland State 66-7. That's the worst loss by an FBS to an FCS ever topping a 58 point loss in Penn's final D1A season in 1981.
North Texas coach Dan McCarney was fired immediately after the game, prior to the post game press conference.

I would hope he got fired after that performance! The AD should have been walking up to him and telling him he's fired right there on the field as the clock hit all zeroes.

I was actually at this game. It was the worst performance I've ever seen. The PSU players were WIDE open on so many plays. They also ran all over the mean green's defense. Just total domination. I told my wife at halftime that he's going to get fired. I didn't think it'd be before the press conference though! Damn! At one point the score was 42-0 and North Texas has 36 total yards!

Steve Sarkisian to take leave of absence.
http://espn.go.com/losangeles/college-football/story/_/id/13864229/usc-trojans-head-coach-steve-sarkisian-take-leave-absence
Sarkisian was not in attendance at the Trojans' practice on Sunday afternoon. A player told ESPN's Shelley Smith via text that Sarkisian "showed up lit to meetings again today."

Just means we can get either chip kelly or Kyle whittingham. Reports are surfacing that he and the AD's relationship is severely fractured.
USC ought to try and get Mike Riley one more time. He's the nice guy the Trojan program needs!

On the bright side, they did beat Texas State. Hopefully they get to keep it five years from now. ;)
