Join the 2015 TGT College Pick 'Em group on ESPN.com!

Group Name: The Gaming Tailgate

Here's how the game works: Every week throughout the college football season, we select 10 evenly matched games. It's then up to you to do your research (or go with your gut) and select the winners of these games while also ranking them from 1-10 based on your confidence level.

For example, if you correctly pick the winner of your most confident game, you receive 10 points. On the other hand, winning the game you feel least confident about is only worth one point. Any time you lose a game, no points are awarded - so be careful which ones you declare as your most confident. Good luck on all your picks this fall.

Get in the action now (http://games.espn.go.com/college-football-pickem/en/group?groupID=2394&invitesource=email&inviteuser=ezA5NDkzQ0E4LThDMjUtMTFEMC05REUxLTAwQTB DOTExMEZFRX0%3D&ex_cid=invite-email-cpickem)!

The winner will receive their choice of a $20 PSN or XBL card. It is free to enter, so feel welcome to invite family and friends.

In conjunction with selecting which team will win, you are challenged to assign a Confidence Value to each game. The higher the confidence you assign to a game, the more points you will earn if you have selected the winning team.

The confidence is flip flopped from last year it appears. The 10 pointer is on the bottom. Just so you guys are aware.

So 1 = most confident 10 = least confident?

Also, are we doing the "fantasy" college football again?

No. The first game shown is one point and the last one shown is 10 points. Apparently it went 10-1 last year. I guess he's just making people aware of something everyone needs to change anyway.

I don't think that game exists anymore on ESPN.com or at least I am not seeing it.

ESPN has a link to DraftKings in their Fantasy dropdown & area, so I take that to mean that the fantasy games have to be played there. Apparently they have some sort of deal.

Do you want 1 point or 10 points? Your most confident game should be 10. The game where you aren't sure should be 1.

It's just confusing because last year the 10 was on top, this year it's on the bottom, but same scoring, 10 points for your 10.

That's called baiting. They are still playing a School notorious for losing.

So which are you supposed to trust? The media? The odds makers? Neither or both?
Why are they favored by 8 after losing to lesser talent.

Know what other school is synonymous with losing? Washington St.

Rutgers was winning at home by 4 with 1:31 left so it's not like it was out of the realm of possibility that Rutgers could beat a team that lost to an FCS team the week before.

No where have I ever claimed both sides of the road. You just hAve no comprehensive skills. My having fun with picks and getting them right or not does not prove or disprove games are staged. You are the one telling me I know nothing and yet you can't make better pics than I and win more on an extreme superior basis so that in itself validates my views to a degree.

When you get your "predictions" wrong, it doesn't disprove anything, you were just one week early or you were reading what twist the NFL wanted to do wrong. When you get things right, as you just said, it "validates your views to a degree".

Do bad, it doesn't change a thing or disprove anything you've claimed. Do good, it at least partially validates your claims.

Guess what numbnuts, that's claiming both sides of the road. Pick one and stick to it. If doing bad doesn't disprove anything, then you do good doesn't prove or validate a damn thing. If doing good "partially validates" your claims, then doing bad means you're just guessing same as anyone else and you have no clue and disproves everything. Pick one and stick to it or else piss off.

It's good that you tried to explain the concept to him but I don't think he's capable of grasping it. You might try equating work hours to imaginary uniforms created on a video game.

Something like this-

Sometimes you have weeks where you have to create an imaginary football and baseball uniform based on the band logo of every 80s pop act so you literally do nothing but come up from the basement, eat Ramen Noodles, run Mother's bath and go to sleep just do you can get up again the next afternoon.
