Any of you guys have Cox as your cable/ISP? I had them back while I was living in Rhode Island 4+ years ago but they were the only option and I do not recall much about the quality and allot has changed in the last 4 years.

I currently have AT&T UVerse and it is available at my new home but Cox is also a possibility.

Cox is a little pricier but offers allot more internet horse power (at least reportedly 150 MBPS download and 20 MBPS upload) so I am considering a switch.

I wish. They are in Omaha, and Time Warner is in Lincoln. With the possible takeover by Charter, I may run.

Yeah - Cox is even higher than I thought though b/c they charge you a "ton" for the DVR and each additional receiver every month. I'd like to have the extra speed but not sure I'm willing to pay an extra $50-$75 per month.

Agreed. The deal with Comcast mercifully got killed, now comes Charter to fuck things up all over again. If the deal goes through, Time Warner is gone from this house. If it isn't already gone before that.

They keep raising their prices and their internet has been spotty as fuck these past two months, at one point having their internet around here go down for multiple hours three straight days back in April, and had it go down both Saturday and Sunday this past weekend.

The problem is I don't have any other options for cable. Don't really want to go satellite at all.

We're mostly crap out of options here too. Time Warner is about the only option for cable (AT&T doesn't reach my street), or at least it was at last check, and Time Warner and either shitty CenturyLink or even shittier MetaLink for internet. If the buyout goes through, I may just say to hell with it and cut the cord if not go satellite.

Had Cox for a year. Didn't really have any problems or issues, but I also didn't have HD or DVR back then. You've had them more recently than I, actually.
