Good luck to you both in this one. PSU is still searching for a HB right now to fulfill Edwards injury but Herron is just inches ahead of my FB because of his juke and spin move. I'd love to go straight power but I just don't have the playbook to really attack like that right now.

Maybe next season it will be forced as I expect Edwards will be moving on and we could see a really new look for what has been all Edwards these last 3 seasons.

Corey Mitchell went down with a torn pectoral injury and us out for 10 weeks...pretty the season.

Huge loss for LSU as he's our best defender and pretty much the Defense.

There are some players capable of helping pick up slack but nowhere near his ability

Hell of a slate.

Florida Survives a Turnover Fest Against Texas 56-28

HB Issac Gordon smiles after a 65 yard run falls just short of the endzone. He finished the day with 24 carries for 244 yards and 2 Touchdowns.

When two Top 10 teams battle, you expect a clean, hard-fought game but this was nothing of the sort. Both teams were turnover-prone throughout the game as the two combined for 13 turnovers on the day. For Gator fans, thankfully only four of those belonged to their team. The lone highlight of the day (at least on the offensive side of the ball), was HB Issac Gordon who not only was his usual bowling-ball self, but he also managed to pick up a rare 65 yard run on the day being tackled just short of the goal line.

After halftime, the Gators retained the lead throughout the game, however they put a scare into all Florida faithful when early in the fourth quarter, with a 3 touchdown lead, QB Nick Jude threw his fourth interception of the day, this one into the endzone. Texas had their opportunity to draw within striking distance but two plays later, the Longhorns gave the ball right back. From that point forward, it was a quiet game with only a late touchdown for the Gators.

Defensively, FS Jonathon Jones managed to take three of the interceptions away himself while MLB Damon Baker secured 2 along with 2 from CB Jesse Wilcox.

With the all-important-win, Florida improves to 7-1 (4-0) on the season and will likely make a big jump into the Top 3 and continue hosting Top 25 Texas teams as #15 Texas A&M comes to town.
