While Offensive Line is not a huge need for the Gators this season, Florida coaches want to try to sign at least 1-2 OL each season just to continue to build it up. Perry is a good addition for depth purposes. While he's not a monster on the OL yet, he'll have a year to redshirt and a year or so more before he's actually called upon for starting duties.

Kansas State, West Virginia, Missouri

Florida is on a mission this recruiting class to sign starting CBs and Caldwell fits that bill. With good size, good speed, and good coverage abilities, he'll be ready to compete for the starting job. Add in his ability to play the ball like a receiver, he could be a stud over his career. He could also be a stud QB but Florida coaches are set there for the duration of Caldwell's career.

Florida coaches hope to be able to redshirt Caldwell but that will just depend on progression of players on the current roster.

Williams is the ultimate stud SS and comes in severely underrated. With Justin Carter graduating after this season, the Florida coaches were just hoping to find a player they could build up into a decent backup but Williams far exceeds that expectation.

With two SS studs already on the roster for next season (Mixon & Tatum), expect for Williams to redshirt but the year after, with all three in the mix, Florida coaches will have a good problem on their hands.

Williams instantly committed to Florida because he did not receive any interest from other schools.

Nice grab with Williams there. He should give you lots of options with an already deep safety group. Nice problem to have that's for sure.

I'm committed to posting my guys but the site is done right now so look for my 3 guys tomorrow at some point.

Schultz is extremely versatile in just about every skill position on the field. With good speed, good running abilities and even good defensive abilities, every team in the country could find him a role on their team.

For Florida, the Gators plan to use him at QB despite being vertically challenged at only 5'10. That said, regardless of height, he has the arm, accuracy, and running abilities to be a true threat at the position.

Expect for him to redshirt his first year and then after that will have to compete for the job for at least a couple of years before becoming the full-time starter.

Moore is a very versatile offensive lineman. With very good strength and balanced in both run and pass blocking, he will be a significant contributor for his playing two seasons with Florida.

The coaches plan to redshirt him his first season but then after that, he'll be ready to compete for a starting job, but at what position is still to be determined.

Davis is an excellent signing for a Florida team that is desperate to find solid players at CB. For the past two seasons, the Gators have only been able to find two worthy candidates to play CB and the rest are thrust into the role. With Davis signing, he'll be primed to compete for a starting role his first season.

However, depending on the rest of the signing class and the development of current CBs, he may redshirt a year to make sure he can be his best.

Davis received no other offers.

Good news: Yay, you signed a prospect mid-week!
Bad news: Say good-bye to your 650 points that you had put towards him  :D

Ohio State is in total offensive-line-rebuild mode this season, and they were fortunate to get two slobs to commit early.

With graduation nearing for almost every starting player on the offensive line, and senior three-year-starter Nate Moore's senior season derailed by a spring game injury, the Buckeyes are in need of starting linemen. Specifically, if not for Moore's presumed medical redshirt, the Buckeyes would be in desperate need of a center, with backup center Dwayne Rice a fifth-year senior. But Mike Brewster's addition gives the Buckeyes a potential four-year-starter to slide into that role next season. And with Brewster being one of ESPNU's 150, the Buckeyes can surely benefit from him influencing more players, especially offensive linemen, to come to Columbus.

If Nate Moore is approved for a medical redshirt this season, Brewster will redshirt next year and be groomed to take over the starting center position as a redshirt freshman. If Moore's redshirt is denied, expect to see Brewster starting next year as a wide-eyed rookie. Brewster chose the Buckeyes over offers from Air Force, Nevada, Utah State and New Mexico State.

Ben Lueken visited Columbus mid-week, surprising coaches who were unaware he would be in town. He was given a scholarship offer, and surprised the coaching staff once again by committing on the spot.

A blue-chip prospect whom Buckeye coaches believe is severely underrated, Lueken will come to Columbus with the ability to play either guard or tackle. His high school experience has largely been at guard, but Buckeye coaches may have concerns about his ability to run the power plays that this staff likes so much. It will depend on the other additions this season to see where Lueken ends up.

Lueken did not receive any offers, or interest, from other schools.

While Koch doesn't have the flash of a big-time signing, he does represent the future. With excellent speed & acceleration and good strength & agility for a Linebacker, Koch can make up for his lack of abilities elsewhere. He comes in at a similar shape to current starting ROLB David Douglas who has been a terror this season.

Koch will certainly be a project and as a result, he'll redshirt his first year and will only have a limited role for a couple of seasons after that. By his Junior year, he may be ready to be a starter.

Florida was the only school to recruit Koch and as a result, he signed as soon as he was offered.

I'm trying to think outside the box....is it possible to rejoin after the season as an existing coach and get skill points that way? I don't know if i could keep up long term if I can't land decent recruits. I'd always be at a disadvantage because of the current bugs. I did see that TTU does show up in play playing style rankings. Curious to know what he did to make the list. My QB leads the country in PYG or is at least up there at this point. I'd like to be able to use that as leverage for a two star school. Any ideas?

JeffHCross
05-11-2015, 10:30 PM
There's no way, after a dynasty has started, to change it to allow existing coaches or change the starting level.

TTU is on the Playing Style rankings because it's a real team. The Arkansas team you took over was originally a TeamBuilder school. TTU and UAB are the only schools currently with a user coach that are real.

It's been frustraiting for all of us that TeamBuilder teams don't show up in Playing Style, but at least (for the most part) we've all been equally screwed. We decided to view it as something that would allow the CPU to be more competitive in recruiting :D

Harris comes in much more as a receiving target than he does as a blocker. With great hands and all-around receiving ability, the only thing that prevents him from being an elite WR is his speed. But like Florida's current WRT, Walter Long, Harris would be a perfect tweener to line up in the slot and bully around DBs that try to contain him.

J.B. Shugarts is another offensive line slob that the Buckeyes hope will slot into a starting spot two seasons from now. Shugarts plays center for his high school team, but projects to either tackle or guard in the Buckeyes offense, mostly out of need. Shugarts and Ben Lueken are both guard/tackle tweeners that will be dictated by the need of the Buckeye offense rather than individual talent.

Shugarts visited Columbus for the win over conference rival Wisconsin, and was the first of many recruits to commit to the Buckeyes shortly after their victory. Expect Shugarts to redshirt next season, whether he moves to guard or tackle, and then play a prominent role the year after that.

Shugarts chose Columbus over offers from Tennessee, Georgia and Michigan State.

John Norwood is not the type of Defensive Back / Strong Safety that Ohio State's staff has been adding the last two seasons, preferring faster, cornerback-type players to fill all of the DB positions. But in his first season in Columbus, Coach Jeff HCross signed a JUCO named Rashad Alston, who went on to be a two year starter for the Buckeyes, including the 2014 championship season, and was among the team tackle leaders both years. Norwood has drawn comparisons to Alston, even as a high school senior.

With two juniors-to-be in front of him, expect Norwood to redshirt next season, then compete for the #2 SS spot the following year.

Norwood chose Ohio State over offers from Pitt and Notre Dame.

Mike Adams is the fourth, and final, member of the 2019 Ohio State offensive line class, which is quickly gaining the nickname of “Block O”. Like classmates Brewster and Shugarts, Adams plays center at the high school level, and like Shugarts he will find himself moving to tackle at the next level. Like his other classmates, Adams excels at run blocking, continuing the string of dominant run blockers that Coach HCross has brought to Columbus.

Adams was also part of the festivities this weekend as Ohio State took on Wisconsin, and was very happy with his time on the Ohio State campus. With Brewster and Adams separated by roughly three hours, the future teammates have gotten to know each other over the years through the California camp circuit, and both were pleasantly surprised to find themselves recruited by the same school at the next level.

Ohio State was the only school to pursue or offer Adams.

I'm in a battle with two CPU schools for a player, and man is it borderline infuriating. I'm actually in two battles, and the second battle I was maybe 200 points away from eliminating both schools on my visit week, but since one of them hung on the other was able to use an Unlock and now will probably be in the battle until the offseason. In the other, in the past two weeks I've dropped from first to third thanks to: A 3000+ point single week from Kent State, of all schools, thanks to (I believe) a combination of the visit, probably getting double points on their visit, and using an unlock skill in the same week. The following week Mississippi State used an unlock for the second or third time on this player and jumped 1300 points to go from Out to #2. At this point I think I'm destined to not sign this guy ...
