LSU uses 2nd half surge to get past A&M, 42-33.

The game turned out a little closer than it should have been after A&M forced a fumble on the 2-yd line, then proceeded to scoop it up and go the distance for the TD.

LSU didn't expect QB Josh Brown to play as he was questionable with an injury but he suited up and had a very solid game. Brown went 15-23, 233 yards and 4 touchdowns with no interceptions. Brown also added 134 yards on the ground with 2 scores. Starting RB Paul Randall was on his way to a solid game but left due to a concussion leaving him on the bench the remainder of the game. He finished with 60 yards on just 8 carries. A few recruits were visiting and wanted to see him eclipse 100 rushing yards. Randall did however catch a 16 yard TD in the 3rd quarter.

John Davis added 2 touchdowns on the receiving end to go with his 86 yards.

On the Defensive side of the ball, the unit put a decent effort in, despite still missing pass-rusher LB Corey Mitchell. The team got their most sacks in a game this season with 6. Also picking off the A&M QB 2 times.

Next up LSU goes on another bye week.
