LSU opens the season with a win 49-9

Freshman QB Josh Brown shined in his 1st career start totaling 5 touchdowns to led the Tigers.

Brown went 18-27, 227 yards with 3 touchdowns and 1 interception. He would also go for 126 on the ground with 2 rushing scores.

RB Paul Randall contributed 42 yards on the ground with a score. FB Kevin Billings chipped in 29 yards with a score as well.

The receiving corps as a group played a solid game. Deon Robinson caught 3 passes for 97 yards and 2 scores. Robinson will fit in nicely as the #2 this season.

On the Defensive side of the ball, the Secondary played well picking off Southern Miss QB 3 times. Also sacking him 2 times but he broke free of a handful shrugging off defenders.

Next LSU has a rematch with Miami who beat them in a bowl game 3 years ago that they want to avenge.

Ohio State dominates Miami at home, 52-10. the defense came to play, limiting the Redhawks to 3 points until the last Miami drive of the game.

HB Kris Davis started his Heisman campaign strongly, rushing 25 times for 159 yards. Freshman Ray Hines started his career in the most impressive manner, returning the opening kickoff of the season for a touchdown.
