LSU mounts a comeback to win, 31-28

Alabama jumped out to a quick 21-0 lead by the 2nd quarter with everything going their way. Excellent run blocking, breaking tackles, pass protection and pin point accuracy by their QB. LSU felt the game slipping away and figured atleast go out swinging. A Donovan Gray TD made it 21-7 but Alabama's Offense still looked unstoppable. After a punt the Tigers wanted to go into the half down atleast only 7 points if possible. That wasn't the case though as a Bama Safety picked off a poorly thrown pass then instantly turned into a RB as he navigated around and through would be tacklers amazingly fast to return it for a pick six, 28-7.

With a minute remaining before the half though, LSU added a score with a 9-yd TD to John Davis to make it a 2 TD game.

In the 2nd half it was all LSU as the Defense pitched a shutout not allowing Alabama to even get within FG range. Randy Johnson would kick the GW FG with 18 seconds remaining. The Defense was able to hold off the hail mary attempts by Alabama to seal the victory

QB Jeff Mosley had a solid day going 15-23, 163 yards, 2 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. He also added 69 yards on the ground

Donovan Gray ran for 66 yards on 19 carries with 2 touchdowns

John Davis had 5 receptions for 87 yards and 1 score

Penn State vs Oregon will be played tonight after I get home from work.

This matchup is even bigger after Arizona State got knocked off by USC. Setting the stage for Penn State with a win to play in the National Championship game against Texas. Can PSU continue to win after getting knocked off by Florida early in the season? Time will tell but one thing is for sure, the excitement surrounding this game is growing!!!
