#9 Florida survives the last minute onside recover by #11 North Carolina as CB Brian Jones stole his second interception on the day. HB Isaac Gordon had a rough outing as he only averaged 2.7 yards on 24 carries. HB Michael Swan picked up where he left off a season ago carrying the ball only 5 times but put together 83 yards on the ground. QB Jason Rivero had another solid day completing 12 of 24 passes for 143 yards with 2 passing touchdowns to go along with 13 carries for 44 yards.

With the win, Florida improves to 3-0 on the early season and next face #12 West Virginia.

LSU blow past #4 Hokies 45-14

This game started out being a tight game and the Hokies storming to a 7-0 lead thanks to a run game that bowled over and through LSU's Defense down the field. Tech's QB also was perfect in throwing the ball on said drive as well, easily scoring on a TD pass. LSU answered with a TD pass of their own to John Davis to tie the game up. Some stalled possessions later by both teams would later lead to a Jeff Mosley interception. Tech took advantage and immediately scored soon after like they did their first drive.

On the ensuing kickoff All-American returner Brad Miller 98 yards to the house to tie the game up and completely flip the momentum on the game. A minute later stellar LB Justin Cole picked off a pass and returned it 59 yards to give the Tigers the lead 21-14. This is Cole's 3rd pick six of the season already and his 4th interception in this early season.

LSU received the ball after the half....and Miller once again took it back to the house, this time 94 yards to go up 28-14. Davis would tack on another TD and John Diggs would catch one as well.

The flood gates opened up after Miller's 1st return as LSU would run off 38 straight unanswered points from the 2 minute mark of the 2nd quarter to the end of the game.

QB Jeff Mosley had a solid game going 13-20, 125 yards, 3 td's and 1 interception. He also added 50 yards on 11 carries. RB Donovan Gray continues his effective play rushing for 142 yards on 19 carries

WR John Davis chipped in with 5 catches, 67 yards and 2 scores.

On Defense the Freshman LB Justin Cole continues his awesome play, finished with 8 tackles, 2 interceptions (1 for a TD) and 2 deflections...easily of which were could have been pick sixes. CB Jeremy Parker added 2 interceptions as well.

LSU is on a bye next week, then hosts #13th ranked Georgia
