Lots of Open dates this week. No UvU games. Let's see if we can't knock it out by Wednesday night at 10pm CT. Obviously with Christmas & New Years, plus several UvU games in Week 3, we'll be slowing down soon but I'd like to knock this week out quickly if we can.

Last week the Buckeyes were idle.
This week, the Buckeyes will host Akron (0-0).

Ohio State starts off slow but wears down the Akron defense in the end, winning 38-21, outscoring the Zips 28-14 in the second half to provide the final margin.

Three Ohio State ball carriers go over 100 yards on the day: HB Kris Davis (140 yds on 23 carries), freshman HB Drew Thornton (113 on 16) and QB Torrance Gibson (119 on 10). The freshman QB, Gibson, only threw the ball six times in the victory.

LSU is RTA

Man I'm going to have 3 starter capable QB's next season. That should be interesting, though one could move to WR and possibly may depending on who the young guys I have pan out.

I see I need to develop a run game, everyone else makes it look so easy and necessary.

skip, I wouldn't say a running game is "necessary". But you've got to be able to move the ball, obviously. And the only way I can reliably move the ball is to run :)

Even not trying to run the ball really seems effective at times.

What I mean by that is, you can not make a concentrated effort and still be successful. There are times when I have 70 rushing yards on 5-6 carries lol
