I really hope this picks up near the end. As someone who has zero interest in indie titles, Sony's 99% focus on them this generation has been immensely disappointing.

I have to concur with this point. I am starting to get very tired of all of these indy titles. While originally I thought they were quaint I have really grown tired of this "all indy all the time" philosophy. I originally thought the indy titles were there as fillers until the big games arrived. However, that does not seem to be the case. All the power of the 4 and most of the titles look like 8bit games. Outside of No Man's Sky there is nothing that stands out for me and my gaming likes.

I agree with you guys. I didn't upgrade to play games possible on my ps3 or worse. AAA titles are pretty much the only games I play.

You just are NOT going to see any more AAA titles as the market for video games isn't big enough to support them. Hell Tomb Raider apparently lost so..... much money from last year they had to get money from MS to do the follow up.

Digital is basically going to do what the CD did back in PS1 it allows more games to come to the market. Some will suck some will be great. No Man's Sky looks awesome and that clearly isn't a AAA title.
