Beat me to it by 30 minutes. :D

As for this weekend, sweet Jesus it's a Little 5/FCS dream weekend. :) :) :)

The usual weeknight MAC games Tuesday and Wednesday (if you don't watch The Battle of I-75, you're a communist), some big conference positioning games on Thursday night, some great Mountain West games Friday night.

Saturday starts the FCS rivalry weekend greatness with Fordham-Army at noon and The Game (Yale-Harvard, aka the TRUE The Game) at 12:30. Afternoon, what should be a good Pac-12 battle with Arizona-Utah, The Rivalry (Lafayette-Lehigh) and the Battle for the Brice-Cowell Musket (New Hampshire-Maine). Evening, you've got the Capital Cup (Richmond-William & Mary) and then cap it all off with two big Mountain West games in the late night time slots.

Now THAT is what I call a damn good weekend of football!

Oh, and don't forget the FCS Selection show Sunday evening, to see how college football playoffs are supposed to be done! Not this four team wannabe playoff bullshit.

Espn is giving OSU some love. Good amount of people have us at 4. Kinda surprising.

- At this point, FSU has to be point shaving. Eventually, they are going to be '91 UNLV vs. Duke....get in a hole and not be able to turn it on for a rally.

- Wisconsin has to be wishing they'd have given Gordon a couple of fourth quarter carries last week after seeing the record fall the very next week.

A few things to note about Perine's record game. He was not even the starting running back, that would have been Keith Ford. He also set the record on his second run in the 4th qtr with over 12:00 left, so he could have gone well over 450. Also a true Freshman and not even the most highly recruited running back.

On the bright side Nebraska is no longer the team who gave up the most yards by an individual player. ;)

On the bright side Nebraska is no longer the team who gave up the most yards by an individual player. ;)I was about to give you crap for this, but this story absolves Oklahoma in my eyes from running it up (or leaving him in, same thing) just to get the record:

NORMAN, Okla. -- When he learned he was close to breaking Melvin Gordon's week-old FBS single-game rushing record of 408 yards, Samaje Perine approached Oklahoma running backs coach Cale Gundy on the sideline.

"You can put one of the other guys in," the true freshman said to his position coach. "The record is not important."

The Oklahoma offensive line overheard the conversation. And wanting the record more than the eventual record-breaker, it overruled him. Perine re-entered the backfield, and on the Sooners' second play of the fourth quarter Saturday against Kansas, he reeled off a 42-yard run to break the record with 427 rushing yards. He then was subbed out to chants of "Pee-rhine, Pee-rhine" from a rain-soaked Owen Field crowd.

"It really can't -- it's still surreal," Perine said when asked afterward how he felt. "I'm not really feeling special in any type of way. I was just looking to do what I had to do to help this team win."
Also, isn't it splitting hairs to point out that he didn't start when he was leading the conference in rushing? :D Yes, technically, he didn't start, but clearly was their #1 back.

Hey, just pointing out that he basically did it in three quarters, just like Gordon. We need these little victories after that Baylor game.

True, though Gordon had like 9 less carries, which is impressive. But both are incredible accomplishments.

Y'know, except for Kansas and Nebraska.
